We cannot walk successfully in the Spirit while continually feeding the flesh. What we feed becomes stronger. When we feed our spirit through God's Word, prayer, worship, and obedience, we grow stronger spiritually and become better able to resist what is contrary to God's will.

Welcome to September!

In July, we learned about Feeding the Spirit, Understanding What God Wants. We were reminded that a strong spirit must be continually nourished by God's Word, prayer, worship, and obedience.

In August, we explored Deeds of the Fallen, exposing the works that lead humanity away from God's will and into darkness.

Now, as we enter September, we go deeper into The Evil Spirits and the Flesh.

Having understood what God wants and identified the deeds of the fallen, we must now develop the spiritual understanding and discernment needed to recognize the battle between spiritual influences and the desires of the flesh.

September is a month of spiritual understanding, discernment, and victory.

Stand firm. Walk in the Spirit. Resist evil. Live in victory!

Before Christ, darkness influenced our thoughts, desires, words, and actions. But when we came into Christ, we received a new identity. We are no longer called to walk according to the patterns of our former lives. We are now children of light.
