For those in NSW, you may be aware the Cumberland Council meeting earlier this week passed a motion to ban same-s*x books, parenting at the moment.

Equality Australia has a petition that I would strongly encourage you to support. I will put more details in the comments below.

Protect rainbow families in Western Sydney and reverse Cumberland Council's book ban!

'We don't' sell q***r identifying merchandise to make sales ... we sell these products so that our customers and our team know they are safe ... so that when a q***r teen comes in for the first time to buy a dress they know we are not judging them ... that when they come out of the changeroom we'll say 'you look lovely'. We sell these products so that people in our stores know they are safe - and if they don't feel safe they can tell us and we will support them'.

It is expected that by the end of this week, the UK Cass Review will be made available.

From my own observations and those of others, I am expecting this to be a very bad report for the transgender community in the UK. Accordingly, most of the press and the anti-transgender people on social media will go mad.

The link below takes you to some talking points around the Cass Review. I did make a (personal?) submission on the draft paper, but it has never been acknowledged.

Most importantly, please be safe. That might be a great idea if you need to stay off social media for a week or so. If you say on social media (and mainstream media), please be aware of your mental health and have a plan in place if it deteriorates from all the hubris that will occur.

To our non-transgender members, this is your opportunity to reach out to transgender people you know inside and outside of our network.

Thinking of you all, Jason
