One of the best ways to initially get connected is through our Connect Times and Life Groups. WHAT KINDS OF ACTIVITIES DOES POWER TO CHANGE RUN? At Power to Change, we’re passionate about helping students explore, engage and fall in love wi
th Jesus. We run many different activities for students through the university year, such as Life Groups, prayer times, Christianity Explained Courses, a Thursday night Weekly Meeting and discipleship times. We also run camps, conferences, training events and summer mission trips to help students grow and deepen their journey with God. As we are a global organisation, we also have opportunities to go on projects internationally (Philippines, Japan, PNG, West Asia), to give students an opportunity to share their Christian faith in another culture. CAN ANYONE JOIN POWER TO CHANGE? WHAT IF I’M AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT? Everyone is welcome to come along to Power to Change! We have people involved with us from different church backgrounds and also from zero church background. Whether you’re a local or International student, feel free to come along! WHY SHOULD I JOIN POWER TO CHANGE? Power to Change is one of these and seeks to specialise in connecting people to Jesus – teaching people how to share their faith with friends and others on campus – and discipleship – providing opportunities for one on one or group meetings to help students grow and mature in their Christian faith. WHICH CAMPUSES IS POWER TO CHANGE ON? Power to Change is currently active at UWA, Curtin, and ECU, but longs for it to be impossible for any of the 100,000+ uni students in WA to graduate without having had the opportunity to hear the gospel. WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW ANYONE?! We love meeting new people – many of us came into Uni not knowing many others, so we understand how daunting it might feel! Rest assured that we’re here to help you get connected into the community. We have people in our group from all different year levels and faculties (Science, Arts, Law, Engineering, IT etc), so you’re more than likely to meet peers who are in the same space as you are! In all our strategies, we exist to change the world through people coming to know Jesus Christ.
