International Men’s Day is an opportunity for people everywhere of goodwill to appreciate and celebrate the men in their lives and the contribution they make to society for the greater good of all.

On November 19, let's celebrate the men who are our fathers, brothers, husbands, uncles, grandfathers, cousins, friends, and sons.

As Christian men, we support one another and celebrate the life of Jesus - the one true model and demonstration of Biblical Masculinity. A man who sacrificed His life for the salvation of the human race, a man who served and reigned, a man who was kind and strong, compassionate and discerning, obedient and forgiving, pastoral and paternal. We strive to be like Jesus, to accept His gift of salvation, His faith, His redemption, and His righteousness.

This November 19, celebrate the men in your lives and support them to be more like Jesus.

On this day October 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted his ninety-five theses on the door of Wittenberg’s Castle Church, challenging the Catholic church sale of indulgences and its claim that financial payment for human authority could grant forgiveness of sin.

Luther's protest declared that pardon is God’s free gift through Christ, received by repentance and faith, not purchased through money or human merit.

The Reformation’s enduring call was to return to Scripture as the final authority for faith and to lift up Jesus as the only Saviour.

Luther’s stand helped spread Scripture and drew many to seek salvation through Christ.

The Reformation was not a call to trust in a reformer, but to keep following God’s Word wherever it leads.

Today, we honor its legacy by opening the Bible, trusting Jesus, and sharing the gospel of grace.

The oldest recorded lie in the Bible is the immortality of the soul. Pastor Nick warns us about getting involved with spiritualism, and how deeply ingrained it is in society, movies, music, events, and even many churches and religions.

With a stark warning against Halloween, Pastor Nick outlines just how clearly this day on our calendar is a day to be avoided at all costs and what the Bible says about entertaining such practices.

But what hope do we have? As Christians, is there hope for us despite what the world tries to lead us to believe? Yes there is! There is hope because Jesus died for our sins, was raised from the cross, and is coming back to take us all to Heaven with Him in Glory.

On Sabbath, September 12 we shared in a beautiful baptism of three young ladies who committed their lives to Christ.

Congratulations Raquel, Charlotte, and Evie on your eternal decision to walk with Jesus.

It's our prayer that you continue walking with Him, all the days of your life.

On September 12, Raquel, Charlotte and Evie committed their lives to Christ through the public declaration of their faith and the covenant of baptism.

These three young ladies have had the blessing of growing up with a loving, nurturing, and engaging church family. Through church we learn support, encouragement, service, forgiveness, growth, discipleship, resilience, and love. Through church we develop a human understanding of the relationship between God and his people.

Committing your life to Christ is not a simple or easy decision to make, and we stand behind each of these young ladies to support their decision and help guide them in their continued journey.

Kempsey Adventist Community Services is pleased to let the local community know that every Thursday we will be provided free soup and buns to people in our local area who need a bit of a helping hand.
If you know someone who is living rough, or doing it tough, please let them know about this community service.

From 5pm - 7pm you can visit our pop up Soup Van on the corner of Belgrave and Sydney Street (Near Mavins Fuel and opposite the Netball courts).

Look for the bright orange marquee and our Adventist Community Services food van.
