Sister Helen's JUNE LEAFLET - FOLLOWING JESUS TODAY, reflects on how church life has changed dramatically over the decades with fewer people attending services, ministries that have declined, and even religious communities like her own becoming very small.

Yet Sister Helen writes that the call to follow Jesus remains the same: to love, serve, and care for one another as members of God’s creation. She highlights growing unity between Christian denominations, shown in recent shared acts of worship between Anglican and Catholic leaders, and suggests this spirit of cooperation can inspire Christians to work together in responding to the needs of the world.

Sister Helen encourages simple, everyday acts of love - listening, helping, caring for people and for creation, as real ways of following Jesus today. For her, worship and Holy Communion strengthen this mission, helping Christians set aside their own preferences to do God’s will. Ultimately, she sees Jesus’ example of acceptance and love, not punishment, as the guide for how Christians are called to live now.

This Sunday we proclaim the holy Name revealed to Moses: “The Lord, the Lord, a God who is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Exodus 34:6

As we celebrate the mystery of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, may we be drawn deeper into God’s love - a love that creates, redeems, and sustains us every day.

🔥This Sunday is PENTECOST!

📖As we celebrate Pentecost, we are reminded of the beautiful promise in Romans 5:5: “The love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.” Today isn’t just a remembrance of tongues of fire or a moment in history - it’s a reminder that God’s love is still being poured out, overflowing into our lives with power, comfort, and renewal.

♥The same Spirit who ignited the early Church is alive in us now:
- stirring courage where there was fear
- hope where there was heaviness
- unity where there was division.

🔺Don't forget to wear a touch of red!

May this Pentecost open our hearts again to that outpouring, so we can carry God’s love into a world that so SO desperately needs it.

“This is eternal life: that we may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).

This verse reminds us that real life isn’t found in achievements or possessions, but in a deep, personal relationship with God.

Knowing Him brings peace that steadies us, hope that carries us, and love that transforms us from the inside out.

May we keep drawing closer to Him each day and live with the joy that comes from walking with Christ.

💜John 14.23.
This verse reminds us that God’s love is not distant or conditional. It is a love that chooses to dwell with us, to make a home in the ordinary places of our lives.
When we open our hearts to Jesus’ way of love - kindness, compassion, forgiveness, we discover that God is already near, already present, already shaping our lives with peace.

May we find comfort in knowing that we never walk alone, for God has made His home with us.
