On September 27, 10:00 a.m. at the Salzburg Dome, we join the Archdiocese of Salzburg in celebrating Sonntag der Völker (EN: Sunday of the Peoples). The Filipino church music that we offer in this special Eucharistic Celebration is one of several noteworthy reflections of musical, cultural, and linguistic diversity — all united by one faith.

In light of cultural diversity, the choir will be dressed in Filipiniana to show cultural heritage and love for country.

As a musical group composed of many Filipinos born and raised from several backgrounds, we resonate with the belief that diversity and faith have only made us stronger and richer.

The Salzburg Filipino Chorale looks forward to celebrating the Feast Day of San Lorenzo Ruiz this Sunday with all of you.

As a choir that values commitment, we recall Lorenzo Ruiz's commitment to the faith. We hope to reflect his example of commitment, that against divide and hate, we bring out grace.

San Lorenzo Ruiz is not only the first Filipino Saint and Martyr, but the Patron Saint of Overseas Filipino Workers as well. We would like to acknowledge the efforts of the Philippinische Gottesdiesntgemeinde (PGG) Salzburg for giving importance to this celebration in an already exciting liturgical year.

This Sunday, September 20, the Salzburg Filipino Chorale will serve to celebrate the Feast Day of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino Saint and Martyr! Come and join us!

As a Filipino choir, we feel especially proud of our country as well as grateful for the church music that was passed onto all Filipino church choirs all over the world.

We celebrate this special day in the spirit of devotion as well as love for our country. Feel free to wear Filipiniana!

Mariä Geburt🌹

Die Jungfrau Maria ist in vielen katholischen Traditionen weltweit eine mächtige Fürsprecherin, insbesondere in den Philippinen. Wir denken a die Marias Liebe zu Jesus, Josef und der ganzen Menschheit als Inspiration für Nächstenliebe, Geduld, Liebe und Dankbarkeit — wesentliche Tugenden, die wir im Chor entwickeln streben. Mehr als die Hälfte des Chores besteht aus Müttern. Abgesehen vom Muttertag im Mai erinnert uns der September an den einen, den Gott gewählt hat, um seinen Sohn zu empfangen und zur Welt zu gebären.

In diesem Monat sowie auch im Oktober bereitet der Chor speziell Marianenlieder vor, um sie während der philippinischen Messen zu singen.

Kapanganakan ng Mahal na Birheng Maria🌹

Ang Mahal na Birheng Maria ay isang makapangyarihang tagapamagitan sa maraming tradisyong Katoliko, lalo na sa Pilipinas. Ang pagmamahal ni Maria kay Hesus, kay San Jose, at sa buong sangkatauhan ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa atin upang isabuhay ang pagkakawanggawa, pagtitiyaga, pagmamahal, at pasasalamat—mga mahahalagang birtud na sinisikap din naming linangin bilang isang koro.

Mahigit kalahati ng aming mga miyembro ay mga ina. Bukod sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga Ina tuwing Mayo, ang buwan ng Setyembre ay nagpapaalala sa atin sa babaeng pinili ng Diyos upang maglihi, magdalang-tao, at magsilang sa Kanyang Anak para sa sanlibutan.

Sa buwan ng Setyembre, gayundin sa Oktubre, ay mas masigasig na naghahanda ang aming koro ng mga awiting Marian upang ialay at awitin sa mga Banal na Misa.

Isang mapagpalang buwan ng Setyembre sa inyong lahat! ♥️

The Nativity of Mary🌹

The Blessed Virgin Mary is a powerful intercessor in many catholic traditions, most especially in the Philippines. We think of Mary’s love for Jesus, Joseph and all of humanity as inspiration for charity, patience, love, and gratitude — essential virtues that we also strive to develop in the choir. More than half of the choir is composed of mothers. Apart from Mother’s Day in May, September reminds us of the one God chose to conceive, bear, and birth his Son into the world.

It is in this month, as well as October, when the choir specially prepares Marian songs to sing during its masses.
