The Vicar-General of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, Bishop Stephen Diseko of Matlosane, speaks out against threats and animosity against migrants in South Africa. "While we believe that our immigration laws should be enforced, they should be implemented by the proper authorities and not vigilantes," he says. Bishop Diseko is acting in the place of Archbishop Thabo Makgoba, who is on sabbatical in the Netherlands.
