*LOVE IN ACTION: ANGLICAN WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP BRINGS HOPE TO WORCESTER FAMILIES*
Compassion, faith, and generosity were on full display as the Anglican Women's Fellowship (AWF) of St James Anglican Church in Worcester embarked on a heartfelt outreach mission yesterday to the Chapelry of St Francis, bringing hope and practical support to vulnerable families in the community. The fellowship's visit formed part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening the bonds of faith while extending a helping hand to those in need. During the outreach, the AWF delegation distributed food parcels to struggling households, offering much-needed relief and encouragement.
A particularly touching moment came when members paid a special visit to an elderly resident, Mrs. Zakhe. The delegation presented her with cupcakes, a freshly baked banana loaf, flowers, socks, and gloves, simple yet meaningful gifts that brought warmth, comfort, and joy. Beyond the donations, the day's mission centred on sharing God's love through acts of kindness and compassion. Fellowship members spent time praying with residents, offering words of encouragement, and reminding them that they are valued and never forgotten.
The outreach served as a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of generosity can make a lasting impact, inspiring hope and strengthening the spirit of community. "Our mission was to preach love in action," fellowship member Bomikazi January said. "We believe that by caring for others and demonstrating Christ's love through practical acts of kindness, we can draw people closer to God. Love and compassion remain at the heart of our ministry." Through their selfless service, the Anglican Women's Fellowship continues to embody the true meaning of faith in action, proving that love is most powerful when it is lived and shared with others.
