🌿 FRESH OIL – GRACE FOR TODAY 🕊️

Theme: The Grace of the Pause ✨

Scripture: Philippians 1:6

"Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Shalom, beloved of the Lord.

As we journey with the Lord, we need to remember that every journey has its seasons.

There is a season to walk, a season to labour, a season to pour out, and there is also a season to pause.

The pause is not a sign that the journey has ended. It is often God's invitation to rest, regain strength, and prepare for what lies ahead. Every season carries its own grace, the grace to begin, to persevere, to wait, to rest, and to continue.

The prophet Elijah experienced this after Mount Carmel. Exhausted and overwhelmed, the Lord did not rebuke him. Instead, He sent an angel to strengthen him with bread and water before sending him on the next stage of his journey.

"Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you." (1 Kings 19:7)

God knows when we need to move and when we need to be still.

Sometimes our plans seem good, yet the Holy Spirit gently whispers, "Not now." If we learn to follow His leading, we will discover that His timing is always perfect. What appears to be a delay is often God's preparation.

In a generation that constantly says, "Do more. Be seen. Don't fall behind," the Kingdom calls us to something different. God has not called us to compete with one another but to walk with Him.

When we learn to operate from a place of rest, we discover that rest is not the absence of work; it is the presence of trust.

As we listen, discern, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can rest in the assurance that the work God has begun in us is safe in His hands. He is faithful to complete what He started.

🌿 Fresh Oil for Today

Don't be afraid of the pause. The same God who tells you when to move also knows when you need to rest. Every season carries the grace you need, and the One who began the good work in you is faithful to complete it.

🌿 FRESH OIL – GRACE FOR TODAY 🕊️
*Theme: Stewarding the Mandate by Following His Voice*

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3:5–6; Isaiah 30:21; Luke 16:10; John 10:27; Jeremiah 6:16

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5–6

Shalom, beloved of the Lord.
Every new season comes with fresh instructions.

In our previous devotional, "Mid-Year Mirror: Don't Miss the Answer While Waiting for the Answer," we paused to reflect on the Lord's faithfulness throughout the first six months of the year.

Thank you to everyone who shared your reflections and testimonies. It was a joy to witness the many ways the Lord has been faithfully at work in your lives.

As we continue this journey, I sense the Lord gently leading us into the next step. Reflection is never the destination, it prepares our hearts for fresh direction. As we cross into this new season, the Father is inviting us not only to remember His faithfulness but also to faithfully steward what He is entrusting to us now.
May our hearts remain yielded to His voice as we receive today's Fresh Oil.

One of the greatest temptations in every new season is to navigate today's assignment with yesterday's experiences.

Experience is a gift, but it was never meant to replace dependence on God. What worked in one season may not be His instruction for the next.

The ancient paths are not old methods; they are the timeless ways of God. His principles never change, even when our assignments do. The safest place for every believer is not in accumulated knowledge but in continual dependence on the Father's voice.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

This is an invitation to surrender every source of self-confidence before Him.

Sometimes we lean on our abilities. Sometimes we lean on our knowledge. Sometimes we lean on past victories and familiar experiences.

Yet our confidence has never been in what we know—it has always been in the One who knows the end from the beginning.

If He is truly your Father, then He has already gone before you into the season you are about to enter. Nothing surprises Him. Every closed door, every open door, every delay, and every opportunity has already passed through His sovereign wisdom.

That is why these words from Isaiah become so precious:
"Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it,' whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left." — Isaiah 30:21

Beloved, in these days many voices compete for our attention; the voice of culture, the voice of fear, the voice of comparison, the voice of past experiences, and even the voice of our own reasoning. Sometimes these voices become louder than the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit.

The question is not whether voices exist.

The question is: Which voice is shaping your next step?

Jesus settled this when He said:

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10:27

Notice that Jesus did not say, "My sheep hear the loudest voice." They hear His voice because they belong to Him.

One of the greatest stewardships in this season is not your gift, your platform, or even your assignment. It is your responsiveness to the Father's voice. A heart that hears Him and responds in obedience becomes fertile ground for lasting fruit. True transformation is not measured by what we know, but by how faithfully we respond to what He says.

Faithful stewardship always begins long before great platforms or significant assignments.
Jesus said:
"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much." — Luke 16:10

Before asking God for greater influence, perhaps we should first ask ourselves.

• Can He trust my heart?
• Am I faithful where He has planted me?
• Do I rejoice when others flourish, or does comparison quietly steal my joy?
• Am I stewarding today's assignment with gratitude, excellence, and humility?

God does not merely examine our gifts. He examines our motives.

A trustworthy heart is more valuable to Him than impressive ability.

As you steward the mandate upon your life, remember this: God is not asking you to figure everything out. He is asking you to walk with Him.

Every season has its own instructions, but the Shepherd remains the same. The One who called you is also the One who directs you.

Today, quiet every competing voice.

Return to the ancient paths.

Trust the Father's leading more than your own understanding.

The grace for today is not found in knowing everything about the journey. It is found in walking closely with the One who has already gone before you.

May we become a people who do not simply admire His voice, but faithfully follow it, one step of obedience at a time.

MESSAGE: “GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS”

*Opening Scripture*

John 7:38 (KJV)
“He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

Isaiah 12:3 (KJV)
“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”

Family, as we step into this last month of the year, the Spirit of the Lord reminds us of these two powerful promises:

There is living water inside you,
and there are wells of salvation before you.

Jesus says, “Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
This means new strength, new mercy, new hope, and new refreshing will flow into your life — not from the outside, but from within, where God Himself dwells.

Isaiah declares, “With joy you shall draw water from the wells of salvation.”
This means you will not enter this month dry.
You will not finish 2025 empty.
There are wells prepared for you — wells of healing, strength, provision, and restoration.

*Main Message: Great Is His Faithfulness*

This Word will carry you this whole month as you prepare for 2026. Take time to read it and ask the Lord to reveal more to you.

On the 30th of November, as I sought a Word that would usher us into this last month and carry us through, the Lord said:
“Reflect on how I have carried you in 2025.”

As I prayed, I found myself humming that old hymn we grew up singing — “Great is Thy faithfulness…”
And the Lord whispered, “Sing it again.”

Because sometimes the songs that carried us when we were still growing in grace become the very testimonies that lift us in our present battles.

This hymn reminded me of this truth:
God has never changed, and He never will.

In the midst of twists and turns, disappointments and victories, valleys and mountaintops, I have witnessed His faithfulness and His goodness.

Just recently, this very past weekend, I was admitted in hospital while l was lying on the bed in this excruciating pain, waiting for the drip to finish. I looked back, and realize;
We never come out of any situation empty-handed — we come out with a testimony.

My body took a heavy punch — but that is the mark of an overcomer.
I've learned that champions leave the boxing ring with bruises, but also with victory.

God reminded me of His prophetic Word in Genesis:
“The woman will crush the serpent’s head, though he may bruise her heel.”
That woman represents the *Church* — it represents us.

This is why the children of God face afflictions, trials and tribulations that challenge our faith.
But today, I came to remind us:

Do not dwell on what you lost in the battle.
Focus on what remains.
Focus on Who fought for you.
Focus on Who carried you.
Focus on Who gave you new strength — h**e apesa ka matla a matjha.

His names declare His victories:
Jehovah Nissi — the Lord our banner in battle.
Jehovah Sabaoth — the Lord of Heaven’s armies.
Jeremiah 32:17 — “There is nothing too hard for the Lord.”

*Prophetic Transition: From 2025 to 2026*

When I look back on 2025, the Word God gave us was:
*“Aligning ourselves with purpose.”*

But as we step into 2026, the Lord is saying:
*“Allow Me to order your steps into My divine purpose.”*

This might be costly; there are things and behaviours, company of people or relationships that you are going to allow God to separate you from, to step into this new day, *His divine purpose*

The hymn of God’s faithfulness becomes the bridge between the two seasons.

*Closing Encouragement*

This hymn speaks of the faithfulness that carried us through every season of 2025.
You know where you’ve been.
You know what happened, and what didn’t happen.
But despite everything:

You are still here.
God kept you.
God sustained you.
God preserved you.

Maybe you suffered loss.
Maybe you carried hidden bruises.
Maybe you’re still fighting battles others don’t see.

But, hear this:
Nothing is lost in the hands of God.
He is the Restorer of life.
He is faithful beyond measure.

Find that song again.
Sing along.
Let your spirit rise as you declare:

“Morning by morning new mercies I see…”
This is not just a hymn
it is a prophecy over your life.

Great is His faithfulness.
Great has it been.
Great shall it remain, even as you enter 2026.
