Bible verse: Hebrews 11:1-3 NKJV
[1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [2] For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. [3] By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
• The unseen world is a storehouse of the things that are seen.
• What we don’t see right now does not mean it’s not there but it is there only in the realm of the Spirit.
• Everything we need is there, in the realm of the Spirit.
• Everything that is seen is not made of things that are visible.
• What we see today is sourced from the unseen world.
• Note: Faith is currency. When you have faith you are able to buy from the unseen world (the realm of the Spirit)
• Example: You may see a piece of clothing that you love but lack money to buy it. You can’t have that piece of clothing because it’s not there, but because you don’t have money.
• As money is needed to buy from a shop; faith is also needed for believers to have access to the things in the realm of the Spirit.
• With faith, all things are possible.
• Our faith must be directed to Christ.
• Having faith does not mean believing anything, but rather believing in Christ.
• Our faith cannot be independent but it should be connected to Christ.
• Remember: faith is currency.
• Once you lose faith, you may end up failing to receive all the things already given to you in the realm of the Spirit.
• What you are and what you have is equivalent to the faith you have.
Hebrews 11:4 NKJV
[4] By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.
• Abel did not offer because he had a lot of sheep.
• But he offered because he had faith.
• The enemy fights the church by ensuring that he removes all things that are pillars of the church.
• He removes the church from living according to God’s principles.
• Abiding by the principles shows that you honour God and His principles.
• Reference: Romans 10:9 NKJV
[9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
• When we say Jesus is Lord, we mean He has authority over our lives.
• We must confess His Lordship over our lives.
• We need to understand the Lordship of Jesus.
• If Satan destroys principles and we end up not doing Jesus’ principles, that is a challenge.
• Confessing only His Lordship and disregard His principles is fatal.
• Our faith in Christ needs to work for us.
• Our offering also speaks for us. It shows how much faith we have in Christ
• Abel offered because he had faith in God, not because he had a lot.
• We will never see the miracles of God if we don’t have faith in Him.
• We must offer to God with faith.
• If our faith is only channelled to things we want to achieve, then we have paralyzed it.
• Our faith must not be exclusive of offering.
• Our offering is not determined by how much we have but by how much faith we have in God.
• If we faithfully offer, we are opening doors of abundance
• We need to have faith in giving, so that we will see it’s answers.
• Let us never allow the enemy to take us away from God’s principles.
• Our faith should push us into giving not because we have what to give but because we have faith in God.
• Example: If a statement against paying government tax were to be released, that will be challenged. Paying tax is not contested.
• It is a government system and it sustains the state.
• How come then does the church allow for it’s systems of giving to be challenged.
• God’s principles must be respected and followed, willingly. Unlike paying tax which is mandatory to everyone and is done without negotiations.
• Paying tax is not by choice but by law.
• Follow God’s principles by will not by force.
• You are given freedom to make a choice to pay tithes and offerings.
• God wants us to rule what He has given us.
• He does not want us to be ruled by our possessions.
• He does not want us to be controlled by our possessions.
• Let us never allow money to control us.
• The challenge with giving is because Satan has attacked our faith.
• Have faith in God.
• Let no voice deceive you into thinking that you made a mistake by making an offering.
• Note that there is no time where you will feel financially stable.
• Never postpone tithing because you feel you want to be financially stable first.
• But the financial life of a believer can be sorted through giving and tithing.
• Increase your faith in giving.
• Your problem is not money but it is lack of faith in giving.
• As much as we believe that God is able to protect us from physical harm, we need to also have faith that our finances are protected with God.
• Note that offering is not for feeding the pastor but it is for God.
• Give. Tithe. Honour.
• Offering is a principle that will sustain you.
• May God increase our faith in giving.
• May God shape our life in giving.
• Faithful giving is a secret to success.
• The principle of giving works miraculously.
• If you don’t give, the devil condemns you.
• Set yourself free from the guilt and condemnation from the devil.
• Push yourself to offer and tithe.
• Offering and tithing grants you freedom.
• Have faith in giving.
