Durban Sunday service sermon extract
By Apostle SD Mbuyazi
Romans 8:32 (KJV)
"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"
This scripture reveals that God did not only give us Jesus to save us from sin, but through Christ He has also made provision for every area of our lives. If God gave His greatest gift, His Son, He will not withhold what is necessary for His children.
The Value of a Soul Before God
Luke 12:6-7 (KJV)
"Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."
Jesus used sparrows because they were among the cheapest birds sold in the marketplace. Though they seemed insignificant to people, God never forgot them.
If God remembers even a sparrow, how much more does He care for a soul for whom Christ shed His blood?
You are precious to God. You are not forgotten, abandoned, or overlooked.
The True Meaning of Salvation
Salvation is not only the forgiveness of sins.
Salvation means Total Restoration.
Through the cross, Jesus restored:
Our relationship with God
Our dignity
Our peace
Our health
Our purpose
Our spiritual inheritance
Everything that was damaged by sin was addressed through the finished work of Christ.
However, believers must walk by faith and take hold of what Christ has already provided. What God has done must be received and manifested through faith.
Christ Came With Everything
The cross represents a fully paid price.
Jesus did not die partially for us. He paid the complete price for our redemption.
When Christ came, He came with:
Salvation
Grace
Healing
Provision
Peace
Victory
The believer must understand that Christ's work was complete.
The Prodigal Son and the Father's Love
Luke 15:19
"And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants."
The prodigal son returned expecting to be treated as a servant.
Instead, the father restored him as a son.
The father prepared:
A robe
A ring
Sandals
These were signs of acceptance, restoration, authority, and sonship.
This shows us that God is always ready to receive His children regardless of how far they have wandered.
God restores before He condemns.
Know Your Rights in Christ
Many believers live below what God has provided because they do not know their inheritance.
When we understand our rights in Christ:
We resist deception.
We walk in confidence.
We enjoy the benefits of salvation.
We refuse the lies of the enemy.
The enemy wants believers to think they have nothing, but Scripture teaches that we have been blessed in Christ.
The Defeat of the Devil
Jesus did not only forgive sins.
He defeated Satan and the kingdom of darkness.
Because Christ has won the victory:
Bo***ge must bow.
Fear must bow.
Lack must bow.
Every work of darkness must bow before the name of Jesus.
Believers should never embrace the language of defeat or hopelessness.
The Feeding of the Five Thousand
The disciples saw a lack of food and focused on limitations.
They explained why feeding the crowd was impossible.
Yet Jesus, the Bread of Life, was standing among them.
Jesus multiplied the loaves and fed five thousand men, proving that God is able to provide where human resources seem insufficient.
The miracle teaches us not to focus on scarcity when the Provider is present.
God's Daily Provision
Matthew 6:11 (KJV)
"Give us this day our daily bread."
Jesus taught His disciples to pray for daily provision.
This prayer demonstrates that God is concerned about our daily needs and is willing to provide for His children.
God remains our source and sustainer.
Key Message
The death of Jesus Christ brought complete redemption.
We are not forgotten by God.
We are loved by the Father.
We have access to His promises through faith.
The devil is defeated.
As believers, we must reject the language of lack and embrace the finished work of Christ.
Prayer Declarations Against Poverty
Father, I thank You that through Christ Jesus I have been redeemed and restored.
In the name of Jesus, I reject every spirit of poverty and lack operating in my life.
Because Jesus paid the full price on the cross, I declare that lack shall not rule over me.
I receive divine wisdom, favour, and opportunities for increase.
Every limitation assigned against my progress is broken in the name of Jesus.
I declare that God is my source and my provider.
I shall not borrow in shame; I shall walk in God's provision and favour.
Every cycle of financial struggle in my family line is broken by the power of Jesus Christ.
I declare open doors, divine connections, and supernatural provision over my life.
I will not speak the language of defeat; I will speak faith, victory, and abundance according to God's Word.
The blessings of the Lord shall manifest in every area of my life.
I declare that my needs are supplied according to God's riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
I walk in the victory purchased for me through the blood of Jesus.
Poverty is not my portion; Christ is my sufficiency, and I shall testify of His goodness.
Closing Declaration
"The devil is defeated. Christ has paid the price. I am restored, I am blessed, I am provided for, and I shall walk in the fullness of God's promises in Jesus' Name. Amen."
