Commissioner Torben Eliasen, Territorial Commander, on behalf of The Salvation Army, expresses deep disturbance and sadness over the horrific assault of a 7-year-old girl in our community. Our hearts go out to the young victim and her loved ones, who are undoubtedly traumatized by this senseless act.
We strongly condemn this heinous crime and demand justice for the innocent child. No child should ever have to endure such violence and trauma. We stand in solidarity with the family and the community in calling for swift action against the perpetrator.
This incident highlights the alarming reality that many girls in our community feel unsafe and vulnerable around men. As a society, we must take collective responsibility for creating a culture of safety, respect, and empathy.
I issue a call to action to all men: let us stand together and protect the vulnerable. Let us be the champions of change and make our country a safe haven for all.
May God bless and strengthen the family of the young survivor during this difficult time.
