Sunday afternoons done right ☀️🌭💙

There’s something special about gathering around a table after church. Sharing boerewors rolls, laughing together, soaking up the sunshine, and building friendships that become family.

Church isn’t just about what happens on a Sunday morning—it’s about doing life together. It’s about growing in the Word, making space for conversations, praying together, and welcoming one another with open arms.

This is what GraceLife Stellenbosch is all about. Jesus, community, and people doing life together. We can’t wait to see you next Sunday!

Happy Birthday to us! 🥳

Today we celebrate 16 incredible years of God’s love, grace, and provision over our GraceLife family. What an incredible journey it has been!

To think it all started in 2010, when seven believers gathered in a small apartment in Stellenbosch and before you know it, GraceLife was born. It all began with a revelation of God’s unconditional love and grace through the finished work of Jesus Christ, and a passion to share this life-changing message with others.

16 years later, we stand in awe of what God has done. From our humble beginnings, GraceLife has grown into a family of churches across Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Tygerberg, Sir Lowry’s Pass, Piketberg, Albania, and Belgium, with ministry reaching many more nations. We have had the privilege of sharing the gospel throughout South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Albania, Belgium, the United States and beyond.

Over the years, we’ve seen countless lives transformed, hearts restored, and people discovering the true reality of Christianity. We are deeply grateful for every person who has been part of this journey and we’re excited for the many lives that will still be impacted in the years ahead.

Here’s to celebrating His message and mission over the past 16 years and looking forward with great expectation to all that is still to come. May we continue to gather to grow to go and make Jesus known for generations to come.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

This morning’s service was truly special as we took time to honour and celebrate the fathers and father figures among us—men who lead with humility, love sacrificially, and reflect the heart of God through the way they serve, protect, and care for their families, communities, and those around them.

Above all, today we celebrate our Heavenly Father and the immeasurable depth of His love for us. What a gift it is to know a Father who is always present, always faithful, and never distant. He never leaves us nor forsakes us, and through Christ we have been welcomed into His family as beloved sons and daughters.

As we step into this new week, may we walk confidently in our identity as children of God, secure in His love and empowered by His presence.

To every father, thank you. You are valued, appreciated, and deeply loved.

And to those who find this day difficult—those who have lost a father, long to become a father, serve as foster or spiritual fathers, or carry the ache of an absent father—we see you, we pray for you, and we trust that the Father’s comfort, grace, and love will meet you exactly where you are today. 💙

What a blessed Table Sunday at GraceLife Stellenbosch! 💙

Today we had the privilege of feasting on God’s Word and gathering around harvest tables to feast together as a church family. There is something so special about sharing not only good food, but also meaningful conversations, laughter, encouragement, and genuine fellowship.

We are incredibly grateful for the gift of family and community; a place where relationships are built, lives are shared, and hearts are strengthened as we grow together in Christ. ✨

Church is so much more than a Sunday service. It’s a family doing life together, carrying one another’s burdens, celebrating God’s goodness, and growing in His Word side by side.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” – Psalm 133:1

What a beautiful and blessed Mother’s Day celebration we had yesterday at Gracelife Stellenbosch 🌸

Pieter shared such a powerful message on motherhood, reminding us of the gentle, caring, nurturing love of the Holy Spirit; a love that comforts, nourishes, and serves us so tenderly, just like a mother does.

“The Eternal is my shepherd, He cares for me always. He provides me rest in rich, green fields beside streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears; He makes me whole again, steering me off worn, hard paths to roads where truth and righteousness echo His name.”
— Psalm 23:1–3 (VOICE)

Our diaper drive also went so well, and we cannot wait to bless babies and families in need with the donations received. Thank you to every person who contributed with such generous hearts 🤗

We also gave each mother a small plant as a reminder that her love grows and brings life to those around her and that her identity is deeply rooted in Christ. Just like a cactus thrives even in difficult seasons, may every mother be reminded that God sustains her, strengthens her, and causes her to flourish wherever she is planted.

We are sending so much love to all mothers — biological moms, foster moms, stepmoms, spiritual moms, adoptive moms, grandmothers, mothers-in-waiting, and those grieving the loss of a mother or child. We see you, we love you, and we are praying for you.

We hope every mother felt deeply loved, cherished, and celebrated this Mother’s Day. Thank you for the countless ways you reflect the heart of God through your love. 💙

What a beautiful and blessed Easter weekend spent with our church family, celebrating the greatest victory of all 🤍

From the cross to the resurrection— a story of love, grace, and reconciliation that changed everything.

“There is no greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

This weekend, we celebrated the finished work of Jesus: that through His death and resurrection, sin has been dealt with once and for all, and we have been brought into perfect union with God. It’s not about what we do for Him, but what He has done for us. We are forgiven, accepted, and made alive in Him—completely by grace. This is the heart of our church family, this is why we gather, and why we go.

From heartfelt worship to joyful moments shared around the harvest table, we are so grateful for a community that truly feels like home.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
