JOY IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLES.

Habakkuk 3:17,18,19(NIV)
17. 'Though fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,
Though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food,
Though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,

18. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.

19. The Sovereign Lord is my strength. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights.'

Habakkuk chose to rejoice in the Lord in the midst of his troubles because he knew who His God is.

He decided in his heart that no matter how difficult things become, he will respond with a good attitude and be joyful.

Having feet like those of a deer means to stand firm and to be strong.
Treading on the heights is being able to overcome obstacles or troubles, or sufferings or your responsibilities.

It is in such times that you will grow in wisdom and character. God uses trials to build character.
'The testing of your faith produces perseverance.' (James 1:3)
'After you have suffered for a little while, He will restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.'

Beloved in Christ, we are commanded to rejoice in the Lord always. True joy does not depend on circumstances. Our faith, hope and peace are not dependent on our circumstances, but in God alone.

1Thessalonians 5:16
'Rejoice in the Lord always.'

Phillipians 4:4
'Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice.'

Instead of becoming bitter and question God, be encouraged to choose to rejoice in the Lord, always, no matter how difficult things are for you, bearing in mind that 'All things work together for good to those who love God.'

Trials have a purpose, God's purpose. Paul and Silas rejoiced in jail, they sang hymns to the Lord and eventually the jailer and his family were saved. God had a purpose in allowing this trial to happen.

'Have faith in God.' (Mark 11:22)

'For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear, I will help you.' (Isaiah 41:13)

STAY CONNECTED!

John 15:4,5 (NKJV)
4. 'Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me.'
5. 'I am the vine, you are the branches, he who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.'

Abiding in Jesus means to stay with Him. When you are connected to Him, you can do far more than you can do alone. We are connected to His strength, His love and His wisdom.

GOD'S PEACE GIVES REST.

Phillipians 4: 6,7(NIV)
6. 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.'
7. 'And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.'

In times of desperate need, you are called, Beloved in Christ, to bring everything and anything before the Throne of Grace, to remain calm and know that God cares for you.
'Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.'(1Peter 5:7)
As a believer, you are reminded to not worry about anything, but to tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done.

Lift up in prayer everything and anything that causes you stress.
This will definitely lead you to experiencing rest and peace in God.
Remember: 'Without faith, it is impossible to please God.'

God's peace gives contentment, it preserves our minds from going through unnecessary stress and it keeps our hearts from being corrupted and deceived.
Laying down your worries to God and not leaning on your own understanding will liberate you.
John 8: 31,32(NIV)
31. 'If you abide in My Word, you are My disciplines indeed,
32. 'And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.'

YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST JESUS.

Hosea 4:6(NIV)
'My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge....'

CONFESSION:
2Corinthians 5:17
'I am a new creation in Christ, the old is gone, the new has come.'

Knowledge of who you are in Christ is part of your spiritual growth and is crucial in your life as a Christian.

Your are a citizen of the Kingdom of God and you are no ordinary being. You need to live by the rules and principles of the Kingdom of God, which is the Word of God.

You are made in God's image and likeness and you are a spirit-being. You need to get to a point where you choose to live the truth that has been revealed to you: Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, the Life. Knowledge about Him and His ways will set you free.

John 4:24
'God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.'

After fasting for forty days and nights, Satan tried to tempt Jesus and Jesus resisted him by confessing the Word of God, by saying,' It is written:, and Satan left Him.
James 4:7(NIV)
'Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.'
Submitting to God means being obedient to His Word, which comes with a reward, success, according to Joshua 1:8.
Speak what is consistent to the Word of God and make it a habit, make it a lifestyle.🙏🏼

YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER!

John 16:33(AMPLIFIED)
'I have told you these things so that in Me you may have (perfect) peace and confidence. In the world you will have tribulation and trials and destress and frustration, but be of good cheer (take courage, be confident, certain,)!
For I have overcome the world. (I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you!'

When on the cross Jesus said, ' It is finished'.
He was declaring that His saving, healing power upon us is completed and sealed by the power of His blood.
He was declaring that all pain, grief, sorrow, trouble, disease, He has paid for on our behalf.
He is indeed our Life and our Salvation.

We are therefore called as the Beloved in Him to take courage and have confidence in Him because He has overcome the world and its troubles for us.

We are called to continue to decree and declare this victory through faith in Him...'His blood speaks better things for you', according to Hebrew 12:24.
'I shall decree a thing and it shall be established.'(Job 22:28).

May God's Word continue to be fulfilled in your life, according to Jeremiah 1:12:'I am watching to see that My Word is fulfilled'.

The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the former part.

God is the Life-Strategist! No-one could have predicted how Job's life would end, after all the reports he had received and the pains he experienced and suffered, he was also wondering what was happening⁉️ But NOT GOD.

For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him.

YOU ARE THE BLESSED OF THE LORD!

2 Corinthians 9:8(NIV)
'And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.'

Psalm 5:12(NIV)
'Surely Lord, You bless the righteous. You surround them with Your favour as with a shield.'

Beloved in Christ, God is Jehovah-Jireh- the Lord who provides.
He provides generously all your needs, without finding fault.
He supplies all your needs according to His riches in glory.
No good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Nothing is impossible with Him and all things are possible to him who believes.
His timing is perfect. He is always on time.
What He gives cannot be reversed.
He speaks and acts. He promises and fulfills.
He honours His Word more than His Name.

When He blesses you, He also makes you a blessing to others.
He strengthens and sustains you even on your sickbed. Amen.
(Psalm 41:1-3).

May the Lord's blessings shine upon you.(Numbers 6: 23).

'Beloved, I pray that you prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.'

BENEFITS OF KNOWING GOD.

Daniel 11:32,b(AMPLIFIED)
'But the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits(for God).

Knowing and understanding God is the most important thing in the life of a believer.

God has revealed Himself in nature, His creation: Genesis 1:1

In His Word: John 1:1, Joshua 1:8, and

In His Only Begotten Son: John 3:16, John 14:6.

John 8:31,32(AMPLIFIED)
31): 'Jesus said to those who had believed Him, 'If you abide in My Word (hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them),
you are truly my disciples,
32) and you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free.'

BENEFITS:
-To know God is to have protection and provision,
-To be able to be drawn to those who are righteous.
-To be troubled by sin and to hate evil,
-To be joyfully content and to have peace,
-To have courage and strength to do right and to stand for righteousness.

Jeremiah 9 23, 24 (NKJV)
'Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches,

JESUS, THE SURE FOUNDATION.

Isaiah 28:16(NIV)
'This is what the Sovereign Lord says, 'See, l lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation, the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.'

Jesus is the Sure Foundation, the Rock on which our faith stands, all other ground is sinking sand. Faith is depending and relying on God hundred percent. Our faith in Christ Jesus is being dependent on Him in every situation, through trials, tests, tribulations..

He is forever faithful to His promises, even when we become faithless He remains faithful because He cannot disown Himself. He abounds in love and mercy. He is gracious and compassionate. 'His grace is sufficient for you and His power is made perfect in weakness.(2 Corinthians 12:9) (NIV).

Jesus Christ is our life and our salvation. 'He who has the Son has life.'(1 John 5:12). He is our hope of glory...which is God's fulfilment of His promise to restore everything back to us that the big and the small locusts have eaten.

As a believer, you are called to not panic, to not be haste nor fearful, but to remember that 'God is ABLE to make ALL GRACE abound towards you.'(2Corinthians 9:8)(NKJV).

At last, God freed all the Hebrews from their slavery and sent them away laden with silver and gold of Egypt. And not even one was feeble on their way out.

The Israelites were slaves, beaten daily and given scraps to eat so they were not the healthiest bunch but look at what God did aaah!!

After they had eaten the lamb with their robes fastened and pleaded the blood on their door posts, God injected into their bodies Christ's supernatural resurrection power, divine health that they left healthy, whole, no one limping and no one with any health challenge.

As you take your Holy Communion today, declare this prayer:

Father, I thank you for the finished work of Calvary. As I eat the bread I speak and receive the divine health of the Lord Jesus and renewal of youth and as I drink the blood of Jesus I declare that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, I come out wealthy out of every situation that has been keeping me bound in Jesus name. Amen 🙏🏾
