As WestVaal Circuit, we are entering a significant season of ministry and hospitality. From Thursday to Sunday, we will host the HESWA Wesley Guild District Convention, and immediately afterwards, we will have the privilege of hosting the HESWA YWM District Convention next week.

This is not simply about hosting two conventions but it is an opportunity for WestVaal to serve God, welcome His people, and demonstrate the spirit of Christian fellowship.

Let us remember that hosting is a ministry. Every person who serves, welcomes, cleans, prepares, cooks, organises, gives, prays, or offers a helping hand is contributing to the work of God.

WestVaal, let us stand together! Let us put aside differences, support one another, and work with one heart and one purpose. We may become tired, but let us not lose our joy. We may face challenges, but let us not lose our faith. We may have limited resources, but let us give what we have with love and excellence.

These conventions are an opportunity for our Circuit to say: “We are ready to serve.”

May God give strength to our ministers, leadership, societies, Guild members, YWM, volunteers, and every person who will contribute during these two important weekends. May He provide every resource we need and give us wisdom to handle every responsibility.

Let us host not for recognition, but for the glory of God.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” (Colossians 3:23)
