SCO Western Cape Province The Students' Christian Organisation (SCO) is a Christian Organisation linking faith-filled students.

SCO is a Christian Organisation linking faith-filled students all over the world. SCO exists in institutions of higher learning and high schools. SCO Western Cape consists of approximately 25 various student branches situated on six different campuses, across three institutions of higher learning and nearly twenty high schools in the province. SCO is governed with four aims in mind:

1 – Evangelis

m: We seek to share the love of Jesus Christ with students – leading to a personal faith in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, according to the teachings of the Holy Bible.

2 – Discipleship: We seek to nurture students into a deep, transforming relationship with God which will profoundly change the way they think, live and relate to others – equipping them for a life of service to God.

3 – Missions: We urge students to commit themselves to the expansion of God’s kingdom throughout the world by evangelistic witness. We see this as a means to respond with compassion to the needs of society and through this strive to work for peace, righteousness and justice.

4 – Engaging The Society: We seek to actively involved in issues pertaining to students in their respective institutions.

Here's to all our brave, beautiful, incredible, smart, and dedicated women. You are not only an inspiration to the people around you, but equally the salt of the earth.

Your compassion, your attention to detail, your effort and your love remains recognised and adorned both amongst your families, your friends, your workplace, amongst learners and fellow peers in the schools section, the students in the higher institution section, as alumus and supporters in the associates section, the society at large and even in your local churches.

Join our District Six branch today (Friday, 24th) at 18h00 in Lecture Theater 1 for the Testimony Night, featuring our Mowbray branch Chairperson, Xolani Jizani as a special guest.

On Saturday (25th), join our Bellville branch at 18h00 in the Educaton Hall for their Opening Service.

Today, July 16th marks the inception of the IFES Global Fellowship Day, an opportunity for all IFES movements, volunteers, members, staff, students, supporters and the like to gather and fellowship.

This will be done remotely via Zoom.

Join in as we join thousands across the world from islands to big cities, classrooms, to residence rooms, boardrooms to offices in praying for the cause of student ministry and being a global witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 🤲🏾 🛐

Our theme is Brighter 💡. Let us shine the light of Christ, BRIGHTER into the dark streets, dorms, campus corridors, offices and digital spaces where Christ has called us to continue shining bright - as testaments and advocates of the undying truth of salvation found in the Gospels.

Today we celebrate SCO Day 🥳💙On this day in 1996, SCA & SCM merged at the University of Fort Hare to become SCO.
29 years of unity.

130 years of student ministry in SA since 1896.We honored this legacy at the SCO National Conference this week. May the mission continue until Jesus comes.Happy Birthday, SCO!
