What have you lost that God wants to restore? 💭

In 2 Kings 6:1–7, a young prophet lost a borrowed axe head in the Jordan River 🪓 it seemed like a small incident, but it mattered greatly to him. Sometimes, we also lose things along the way, and God invites us to be honest about what we have lost and where things went wrong. Bring your situation to Him, receive His grace, and trust Him to lead you towards restoration 🙏

Remember, if it matters to you, it matters to God 😌

Offer God what you have and trust Him to give you what you need 🤲

Have you ever faced a situation where what you have simply doesn’t seem enough? 😅 in 2 Kings 4, a widow had debts she couldn't pay, and her sons were in danger of being taken away. When Elisha asked what she had in her house, all she could offer was a small jar of oil 🏺 it seemed insignificant compared to her need, but God used what she had to provide what she lacked 🙏

We may not always have enough, but we serve a God who is more than enough 🙌

When life feels like too much, and we feel like we don’t have enough, we can be encouraged that “not enough” is often where God starts 🙌 join us this Sunday as we look at the story of the widow and Elisha, and learn that God can use what we have to give us what we need 🙏 and sometimes, the miracle we’re looking for starts with choosing to ask for help 💬

Prepare before you see the answer 🙏

In 2 Kings 3, when the armies ran out of water, God told them to dig ditches in a dry valley 😅 there was no rain and no visible sign of water, but they had to prepare in faith for what God had promised to do 🙌 the same is true in our lives. We pray for God to work, but sometimes, while we wait for His answer, God asks us to take practical steps of obedience 😌

What has God been asking you to do in preparation for His breakthrough? 🪏

We’ve all experienced a situation or circumstance where we desperately needed God to move 😅 in Part 2 of our series we’ll learn that our greatest need becomes a gift when it drives us to depend on God 🙏 with worship and trust, we can shift our perspectives from our problems to God’s presence and power 🙌 join us this Sunday, and prepare yourself to see God move!

Sometimes God calls us to take a step of faith before we have all the details 👣

Elisha was simply going about his normal work when God called him. He didn’t have all the answers, he didn’t know exactly what the future would look like, but he understood that God was calling him to something greater. You don’t have to understand completely to obey immediately 🙏

Take time to pray and ask: “Lord, what step of faith are You asking me to take, and what might be holding me back from taking it?” 💭

Sometimes along our faith journey we may feel a little stuck 😅 and the tendency may be to depend on our own strength and understanding. But like Elisha, we’ll need to “burn the plows” that hold us back 🔥 so that we can obediently take a step of faith into God’s calling for our lives 👣 join us this Sunday for the start of a new series in which we’ll learn lessons from Elisha to help us live our calling 😌

The world may not be our final home, but it is where God has placed us for this season 🌱

So let us live faithfully here while looking expectantly toward the Kingdom that is to come 🙌 our first allegiance is to Jesus. Our first responsibility is to honour Him 🙏 and wherever He has planted us, let us help others flourish 😌
