SERVICE REPORT

Date: Tuesday, 25 August 2026
Congregation: Cleary Park
Text: Mark 11:17
Time: 19h00

Occasion: Special Divine Service for all Ministers

Attendance: Ministers from Arcadia, Gelvandale, and Fernwood Park Districts gathered for this Special Divine Service, conducted by Apostle Gerome Mintoor.
Shepherd Peter Labersensie was called up to serve along.

Total ministers present: 169

Message Summary:
Apostle Mintoor drew from Mark 11:17, where the Lord declares, "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations."

From this text, the Apostle unfolded a profound connection between the House of God, prayer, and oneness:

House of Prayer: Maintain an earnest, purposeful prayer life grounded in personal devotion to sanctify God's house.

Leadership by Example: Lead the congregation by actively modeling God's expectations in His temple.

Oneness & Unity: Foster complete harmony at home and in church while rejecting all discord.

Recalibration: Align daily actions with God's salvation plan to remain true bearers of blessing.

What a blessed and amazing service with the entire congregation made up of ministers was the choir.

Divine Service Synopsis: Cleary Park Congregation - 16 Aug 2026 @ 10h00

Rector Zenito de Souza conducted a divine service at Cleary Park Congregation (CPC) on Sunday, assisted by Priest Marlon Kriel.

The service focused on the theme of Oneness and the call to embody Christ's teachings in daily life.

Title: Called to ONENESS in Christ.

Bible Word: John 17:20–21 (excerpt)

Message: God grants oneness, and as believers and we are called to do everything in their power to preserve it.

The Rector recapped upon prior themes including "Apostolicity / Apostolate" (showing identifying Christian characteristics), "Gratitude" as a way of life, and understanding ONENESS as defined by the perfect, undivided state of the Triune God.

Focus points:
Q. How do we foster Oneness?
● Oneness begins in our personal surroundings.
● Oneness in the congregation.
● Oneness in the church.
● Oneness as a gift of God and a mission for mankind.

 Takeaway:
Jesus' prayer in John 17 highlights that unity among believers is founded upon Him and serves as an identifying feature of the church of Christ. Members are challenged to reflect whether they are oriented towards Christ (Christ-centric), living in harmony with the Gospel, and showing solidarity with fellow believers.
