As we enter the new year, the LORD reminds us that our way of living as Christians does not change, because JESUS CHRIST is the same yesterday, today, and forever. A new year is not an excuse to live rebelliously or casually; we are called to live according to the Word of GOD and reflect who we truly are as HIS people. Scripture in Ephesians 4 teaches us not to live like those who are spiritually confused or hardened, but to live as true believers whose minds and hearts are renewed by the Spirit.

We are not born again to simply exist or add to numbers, but to be the light of GOD in our families, communities, and daily interactions. Believers are called to live holy lives, showing visible change through love, self-control, gentle speech, and the fruits of the Spirit. We are to put on our new nature, created to be like GOD in righteousness and holiness, choosing truth, peace, and forgiveness over anger, gossip, and bitterness.

The LORD calls us to pursue peaceful Christianity, making allowances for one another, resolving conflict quickly, and letting our words encourage rather than harm. Ultimately, this message is a reminder that the Word of GOD corrects us out of love, not condemnation, and points us toward eternal life, urging us to live in a way that honors the HOLY SPIRIT and reflects the forgiveness we have received through CHRIST. AMEN!!!

LEARNING FROM THE LIFE OF JOHN THE BAPTIST

John the Baptist was the first person to preach baptism and repentance, introducing a message that had not been emphasized in the Old Testament, where people lived under the law. He understood his purpose clearly and refused to take glory that belonged to someone else, humbly declaring that the ONE coming after him must become greater while he became less. John knew he was sent to prepare the way for the LORD and boldly pointed people to JESUS, the promised MESSIAH and CHRIST.
His lifestyle, clothing, and food symbolized repentance and rejection of worldly luxury, showing that obedience to GOD mattered more than comfort or appearance. John never competed with others because he understood his calling, teaching believers that knowing your purpose removes comparison and jealousy.

He openly acknowledged that while he baptized with water, JESUS would baptize with the HOLY SPIRIT and FIRE, proving his humility and faithfulness to his assignment.
Through John’s life, believers learn the importance of aligning words, actions, and appearance with their calling, because the body is the temple of GOD. His boldness also teaches that the truth must be preached without compromise, regardless of status, wealth, or influence. Ultimately, John’s example reminds Christians to stay humble, speak responsibly, honor their calling, and keep the church focused on the pure Word of GOD rather than personal gain or competition.
