THE PRICE IS PAID

“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
— Isaiah 53:4-5 (NKJV)

Christ served as the substitute for God's wrath upon sinners, enduring God's chastisement to secure our peace with Him. The Servant suffered not for His own sins, as He was sinless (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), but as a substitute for us.

Jesus offered Himself on the cross as the propitiation for our sins. The demands of a holy God were satisfied by Jesus’s death on the cross once and for all. He became the perfect sacrifice for our sin (Hebrews 9:24-28).

The cost of our redemption was the blood of the perfect Son of God, who made this sacrifice in our place. Because the Father accepted Christ’s payment, we have been set free from the bo***ge of sin and have received the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to live in the freedom of obedience to the Father.

Accept Jesus today as your Lord and Saviour.
