Part 1

The Scriptures teach that we do not always know what we ought to pray for, which is why the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf. As human beings, it is normal not to know everything. The things of God are spiritual and require His Spirit to reveal and guide us. Never allow anyone to underestimate you because of your appearance or background. Your identity is found in God.

This is why Saul’s doubts about David were understandable when David volunteered to fight Goliath. Many of us would likely have felt the same. Yet victory came because God went before David and led him.

Joel 2:28 declares:

“I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”

It is not enough to hear the Word of God. The Word should take us deeper into the things of God and produce growth in our lives. It is an error to continually receive the Word yet remain unchanged. As we continue hearing God’s Word, it should elevate us and activate spiritual vision.

In 1 Samuel 3:1, we read that visions were rare in Samuel’s day. The Scriptures existed, but there was a lack of revelation and vision among the people. Therefore, the Word of God must not only be heard but must also awaken vision and spiritual understanding within us.
