Die Bisdomlike Katolieke Vrouebond het gister te St Liborius Katolieke Kerk in Parkdene hul jaarlikse besinningsdag saam met hul kapelaan, vr. Leon Mostert CO gehou. Sowat 60 dames van die verskillende takke regoor die bisdom het die besinningsdag bygewoon.

The Diocesan Catholic Women’s League, yesterday held their annual day of reflection at St Liborius Catholic Church – Parkdene, together with their chaplain, Fr Leon Mostert CO. Around 60 ladies from the various branches across the diocese attended the day of reflection.

'n Noviet by die Oudtshoorn Oratorium
In Oudtshoorn het die gemeenskap van die Oratorium Kongregasie op Saterdag, 15 Augustus (Tenhemelopneming van Maria Hoogfees) beide hulle 29ste herdenking van die Kerkwetlike oprigting in 1997 gevier en Mnr. Reinier Snyman as noviet (en broeder) tot die eerste proeftydperk van die novisiaatprogram van die Kongregasie toegelaat. Ons gelukwense gaan aan beide broeder Renier met sy toelating asook aan die vaders met 29 jaar van toegewyde liefdesdiens.

In Oudtshoorn, on Saturday 15 August (Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary), the community of the Oratory Congregation celebrated both their 29th anniversary of canonical establishment in 1997 and admitted Mr Reinier Snyman as a novice (and brother) to the first probationary period of the Congregation’s novitiate programme.” Our congratulations go to Brother Renier on his admission, as well as to the Fathers for 29 years of dedicated pastoral service.

Sr Eva Bernard Basson recently celebrated her 50th Jubilee of Religious Profession in her hometown of Riemvasmaak, a place deeply connected to her vocation story while Bishop Noel marked the 6th anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination on 8 August 2020.
