The Gita Mandir officially opened its doors on the 25th of July 1975 and has since been serving as a Vedantic Institute for spiritual growth and upliftment.

July 2025 marked 50 years of this Mandir standing as a Beacon of Light and Hope for the community at large.

The Gita Mandir hosted its Golden Jubilee celebration on the 26 July 2025. The programme consisted of various speakers, bhajans, an audio recording of our Beloved Guru S Rambaran dating back to 1975 prior to the opening of our Mandir.

The overall themes shared by the various speakers included:
* Importance of involvement of Youth in Satsang and Spiritual Development
* Importance of preservation of spiritual knowledge and maintaining resilience as Hindu Communities
* History and origins of the Gita Mandir
* How the relationship between Devotee and Guru shapes and strengthens lives and communities
* The critical importance of sustaining spiritual practices

The Golden Jubilee Celebration was a resounding success. The Officials and Members of the Gita Mandir would like to thank each and every person who assisted in making this function such a memorable one.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of one of our beloved founder members of the Gita Mandir, Mr Kantilal Gokal. His unwavering dedication and leadership helped enrich the lives of many.

As we mourn this profound loss, we also celebrate a life devoted to faith, compassion, and unity. Mr Gokul's legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come.

On behalf of the Gita Mandir Family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time. May Bhagwan grant eternal peace to his soul.

In this moment of grief, we pray that the divine light of our Gurujee shines upon your hearts, bringing comfort and healing. The memory of our dearest Mr Gokul will remain in our hearts forever.
