On Sunday the 17 August 2025 at 12:30.
District Apostle Helper Mandla Mkhwanazi visited Scottsville Congregation, Pietermaritzburg.

Upon the Apostles arrival he was greeted by the children who then renditioned a hymn; “open our eyes Lord” on his way to the sacristy.

The word given by our Apostle was out of the book of Numbers 14:8…
If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey.

The Apostles message:
The service focused on trusting in God’s promises through faith, hope, and love. We come to God’s house not only to worship but also to learn, with the Holy Spirit as our teacher and comforter.

The example of Israel at Canaan shows how doubt kept many from the promised land, but Joshua and Caleb trusted God and encouraged the people. Likewise, God’s promises today are certain—unlike human promises, He never fails.

We are reminded not to lose heart in trials or be discouraged by disappointments, but to remain steadfast in faith. As children of God, our identity is renewed in Christ, and nothing should separate us from His love.

Trust God fully, live in faith, hope, and love, and hold on to His promises until Christ’s return.

Later in the Divine Service the Choir renditioned a hymn and District Evangelist Ralph Hlela summarized the Divine Service during the first call up in IsiZulu. Second call up was by Priest Newton Walters in Afrikaans.

Coming to the highlight of the Divine Service, 4 Children received a very special sacrament of Holy Sealing. Through the authority of a living Apostle those Souls received the Holy Spirit.

After Communion the Apostle took time and greeted the members of Scottsville Congregation.
