Celebrating Youth Day

An event was held to educate teenagers and young adults on socio-economic issues affecting today’s youth. The talk show featured in-depth discussions on substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, crime, mental health, and other challenges facing young people. Invited guests shared personal experiences and offered practical guidance to inform and empower attendees.

Scripture: Psalms 122:1
"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord." (KJV)

The Scripture says, "Let us go," meaning it's more than one person. Your going to church should not be selfish.
When bringing somebody to church becomes a burden to you means you are not proud of the church you attend and the things which happen there.

John 15:16
It may be that God wants to measure your blessing by your dedication and commitment. It takes a mature tree to produce fruits. When you start producing fruits in church, it shows your maturity in Christ.
God does not invest in a man or woman who does not have his interests at heart.

One invitation may save a whole generation.

STRATEGIES TO BRING SOMEONE TO CHURCH:
1. Show love before invitation.
* 1 Corinthians 1-2
* People will follow you where you go if you have love.

2. Personally invite them.
* John 1:45-46
* Invite your friends and family to church.

3. Offer transport or go together.
* Mark 2:3
* Go to church with extra offerings and give to those who do not have.

CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF ESTEEMED BROTHER MBONGENI NGWENYA
(Teenage Ministry)

1 Thessalonians 4:13
But I would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him." (KJV)

Those who know God will understand that Mbongeni is not dead he is asleep, and on the last day, God will lift him up.
This is the reason we do not sorrow like those who do not know Jesus.

John 14:1 tells us, "Let not your hearts be troubled..." (KJV) Mbongeni is in a better place, a place of light - for he had connected himself with Jesus.

The question today is,
WHAT IS LIFE OUTSIDE CHRIST?

In his lifetime, Mbongeni found Christ.

A life without Christ is a life of pain, shame, and sorrow. If you want to find your way in life, connect yourself to Christ.
WHAT IS LIFE OUTSIDE PURSUING GOD?

Scripture: Luke 14:23
"And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (KJV)

As a child of God, you need to understand the value of souls.

John 15:16 "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you." (KJV)

The reason God called you and ordained you is that you should bring forth fruit.

5. One sermon can stop someone from suicidal plans.
* Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and by hearing the word of God." (KJV)

6. You help them join Godly fellowship.
* Some people are members of stokvel because somebody told them about that stokvel. But they would not tell that same person about God and invite them to church.
* Hebrews 10:25 "Not avoiding worshipping together as some do...
* How can you as a child of God not be concerned about coming to Church and seeing others not there and still be comfortable?

7. Church can save people from wrong decisions.
* Genesis 9:23
* Psalms 73:16-17 "When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me, 17: Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood i their end." (KJV)

Title: Prayer

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:17
"Pray without ceasing" (KJV)

Without the Word of God, it is easy to pray amiss.
The Word of God is a developer of faith. You can not have faith in the absence of the word of God.
Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." (KJV)

Hebrews 11:6 "For without faith it is impossible to please God..." (KJV).
No matter what you do, the only thing God desires from you is your faith.

Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (KJV)
You begin to believe God if the things you have not yet seen but believe that you have received them.

Matthew 21:22 "And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." (KJV)

If things are not happening well in your life, check these two factors:
1. Is God in your life?
2. Do you have faith?

Faith is what opens us to God. Without faith, God has nothing to do with you.

WHAT IS PRAYER?
Prayer is the function of your faith towards God.
Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing shall be impossible." (KJV)

1. You use prayer to communicate with God.
* If you don't pray, there is no way of communicating with God.
* You communicate with God so you can have a relationship with God.
* The reason some people are not blessed is that God wants to have a relationship with them.
* When you have a relationship with God, whenever you need Him, He is there.

2. You use prayer to change things.
* If you are sick in your body, you can pray, and God takes away the sickness.

The only way for God to know you is by having a relationship with him through prayer.

Furthermore, you need to be born again.
"Draw near to God, and He shall draw near to you."
God knows what you want and need. He just wants you to be His child. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (KJV)

Scripture: Luke 2:43-49
"...and he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" (KJV)

John 2:17
"And hus disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up." (KJV)

God's people are always complaining, complaining for unanswered prayers, complaining of things God has not done, but have you asked yourself - Am I living the life God wants me to live?

There are things you can not get from heaven until you live your life according to the principles of God's divine instructions.

You have to apply your heart in doing what God wants you to do.

ELEMENTS OF OWNERS OF THEIR FATHER'S HOUSE: (continued)

4. They take initiative without waiting to be chased.
* Do not wait for people to tell you what to do, knowing very well what you should do.
* Ecclesiastes 9:10 "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest". (KJV)
* In the grave, your wisdom, resources, and connections will no longer be useful.
* Sit down to plan the things of God, and God will plan your life.
* They volunteer willingly.
* They are always willing and never forced to.
* Psalm 110:3 "Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power..."

5. They care about church growth.
* It becomes your cry when you get to church and see empty seats, you get concerned.
* Luke 14:23 "And the Lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." (KJV)
* They get excited when the church is growing. They are excited at the lifting up of others.
* They pray for increase, they seek for souls, they follow up on them.

6. They stand with the leadership during battles.
* During times when things are not going well in church, you stand with the church. You stand with your pastor.
* They are loyal. True sons and daughters of the house.
* 1 Samuel 22:2 - Everyone who had troubles went to him, and he solved them.
* Aaron and Haul gathered themselves and lifted up the hands of Moses, and as long as his hands were lifted up, there was victory.

7. They speak "our church" not "their church".
* 1 Corinthians 12:27
* You don't observe the roof of your father's house when it's leaking. You work on it.

8. They are dependable and consistent.
* Those the leaders and pastor can trust.
* 1 Corinthians 4:2
* Can leaders share things with you?

Title: The Importance of Bringing Somebody To church

Scripture: Psalms 122:1-2
"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. 2: Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem." (KJV)

The things of God have nothing to do with how intelligent a man is, how eloquent a man is, or his status in society.
Moses was not eloquent in speech. He was a stammerer, but God used him.
Peter was a fisherman when God used him.

Following God's instruction has a way of keeping you.
If you are a child of God and are not interested in the salvation of other children, the ones around you will also not be saved.

The question is, how many are obeying God?

Never give excuses why some things are not happening. Never give excuses why you should not obey God.
Proverbs 3:7 "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil." (KJV)

Joel 3:14 "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." (KJV)
There are people out there with a desire to come to church, but they are waiting for an invitation.

In Luke 5:18-19, the Bible tells us that four men carried a man to Jesus, and he was healed.

In what way are you laboring in the kingdom of God? God blesses responsibility. For a laborer is worthy of his wages.

There are people around you that God has put around you that their lives may change through you.

Why should you bring someone to church?
1. You may be bringing someone to their divine encounter.
* Just one service may be a turnaround in their lives.
* Blind Batemeus was told by someone about Jesus.
* One invitation can rewrite somebody's destiny.
* Joel 3:14

2. Souls matter to God.
* Luke 14:23
* One word from God can save a person's life.
* Take God's business as your own business.

3. Some people need to be carried spiritually.
* Some people will not come to church unless you drag them.
* Mark 2:3-4

4. The church is a place of transformation.
* The church is not a place for perfect people. It is a place to repair broken lives.
* Jesus said, "Come to me all ye that are heavy burden and I will give you rest..."

5. Some people are one sermon away from change.
* One word can change suicidal thoughts.
* One sermon can save a marriage.
* God can package a miracle of somebody in just one sermon.
