Sunday Service Update|| 06 September
Reading of the word by Apostle T.J Makuwa
Message Titled : Be Planted and Rooted

Scripture reference: Psalm 1: 3,4 ; Galatians 5:22‭-24 ; Psalms 92:13 ; Jeremiah 17:7‭-‬8

They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

-As a child of God you need to be planted ,For you to tell what kind of a seed has been planted it needs to grow and produces its fruits tell you wil be able to tell. For the bible say by their fruits you will know them , for you to be able to bear fruits you need as a child of God you need to be planted and rooted

- A seed without the soil cannot function, Now the word of God is the seed and our hearts are like a fertile soil. For the seed to grow it needs to germinate in us. For you to be able to bear fruits you need to be planted .

-The bible says now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

- In order for you as a child of God to be able to stand your ground and not be shaken by any storm , you need to be rooted .Asa tree that is planted depends on water to grow ,we as the children of God depend upon the holy spirit.

-When a tree is being planted , for us to see its growth we see it through the fruits that it produce .As a child of God for us to see the evidence that you are truly planted and rooted we need to see the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

- If you are not planted and rooted you become like the ungodly who are not like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever they do shall prosper But instead they are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

-As a child of God where are you planted? For the bible says those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. For“blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

-Let us pray for obedience
1 Samuel 13:8-11,13-14
[8]Saul waited seven days, according to the set time Samuel had appointed. But Samuel had not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattering from Saul.
[9]So Saul said, Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering [which he was forbidden to do].
[10]And just as he finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came! Saul went out to meet and greet him.
[11]Samuel said, What have you done? Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattering from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines were assembled at Michmash,
[13]And Samuel said to Saul, You have done foolishly! You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God which He commanded you; for the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever;
[14]But now your kingdom shall not continue; the Lord has sought out [David] a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be prince and ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.

-Saul went to do the sacrifice without Samuel

-Saul was rejected to be a king because of lack of obedience.
-As the children of God we will lose many things because of lack of obedience.

Samuel said, Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

²Kings 5:1&10&14

-NAAMAN, COMMANDER of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, accepted [and acceptable], because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a l***r.

-Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored and you shall be clean.
-But Naaman was angry and went away and said, Behold, I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place and heal the l***r.

-Naaman almost missed his healing because of the expectations he had ,he did not want to hear what is it that God is expecting from him or what word the Prophet has for him

-He wanted things to go his own way because he is known to be mighty man of valor .

-What is it that is stopping you to see your breakthrough?
-Naaman almost missed his breakthrough because of his title.
-When we come to God we come with demands and expectations.
-We expect God to meet our expectations but we don't want to meet God's expectations.
-We end up missing our breakthrough because of minor things.

- For he said are there not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
-Naaman had to let off his pride and title to receive his healing.

2 Sanuel 7:18

Then king David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: “Who am I, Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
-David is saying this, reflecting on how God carried him his said in the book of psalm that if if had not been for the lord who was always on our side when our enemies rose against us where would we be.

-He understands that the was a time where he faced Goliath every one looked down on him but God used him to defeat Goliath.
-The are some times where we face situations it doesn't mean that God is not there forever you.
-Father God thank you for carrying and sustaining us.

Scripture reference: Acts 6:5,Acts 7:13,58 ; Acts 16; 19-25

Message Titled: Do not blame God

-Stephan went through a difficult situations but he did not doubt God.They dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. His accusers took off their coats and laid them at the feet of a young man named Saul. As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died.

- He did not insult or rather blame God because of what he was going through. The bible says so they persuaded some men to lie about Stephen, saying, “We heard him blaspheme Moses, and even God.” This roused the people, the elders, and the teachers of religious law. So they arrested Stephen and brought him before the high council.

-Even thogh stephen had false accusser,he went on to tell them about how God carried Abraham, Jacob , joseph and Moses but instead the Jewish leaders were infuriated by Stephen’s accusation, and they shook their fists at him in rage.and dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. His accusers took off their coats and laid them at the feet of a young man named Saul.

- In all these Stephen did not blame God, that's why told them, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand!” For In all the accusation God found him to be righteousness, even though they stoned him, he did not see the stones coming to his direction but yet he saw God.

- One day as when Paul and Silas were going down to the place of prayer, they met a slave girl who had a spirit that enabled her to tell the future. She earned a lot of money for her masters by telling fortunes. She followed Paul and the rest of them , shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.” This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” instantly it left her.

-The lady's masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered, so they grabbed Paul and Silas and dragged them before the authorities at the marketplace. “The whole city is in an uproar because of these Jews!” they shouted to the city officials. “They are teaching customs that are illegal for us Romans to practice.” A mob quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and the city officials ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden rods. They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape. So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.

- Now in all this Paul and Silas did not blame God , that they got beaten and thrown into prison because of doing the lord's work. InsteadAround midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening.

- How many times as Christians do we blame God for the sufferings we go through, how many times do we insult him for the situations we go through. Instead we ought to adopt the character of Paul and Silas and praise God in the midst of the storm. There's breakthrough in worship. The bible says Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

- if you don't blame God because of suffering, there are people who will follow your God seeing how consistent you are in him. Job said Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him" (Job 13:15 KJV)
Here, Job acknowledges the possibility of severe suffering or even death at God's hand, yet he declares his steadfast faith and confidence in God's sovereignty. The phrase "yet will I trust him" emphasizes that Job's trust is not dependent on his circumstances but on God's character and promises

Title : You are chosen by grace

1 Samuel 16 : 1-7
¹ The LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king."
² But Samuel said, "How can I go? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me." The LORD said, "Take a heifer with you and say, ’I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’
³ Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate."
⁴ Samuel did what the LORD said. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town trembled when they met him. They asked, "Do you come in peace?"
⁵ Samuel replied, "Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me." Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.
⁶When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, "Surely the LORD’s anointed stands here before the LORD."
⁷ But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Genesis 37: 5&6
⁵ Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.
⁶He said to them, "Listen to this dream I had:

-If God the holyspirit has chosen you no one will take your grace and no one will take you position.

2 Timothy 1:9
⁹He has saved us and called us to a holy life —not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.

-We are chosen by grace ,we are not chosen by the work that we have done.
Because of the grace bestowed upon David, he was fetched from where he was sheperding the sheep's and choosen for a greater purpose.

Joseph suffered at the hands of his brothers,but by the grace of God, he was eventually elevated to become the Prime Minister of Egypt

-David was called to come and play the harp for Saul.This was still the grace of God that continued to choose and elevate him.

-Being a last born Joseph found himself shepherding the sheep while his older brothes were considered for greater responsibilities
-This could have been seen as a sign of rejection.

-You are the chosen generation.
-You need this grace today.

-To all those who are rejected today,remember that tomorrow God can give you the grace to rise above your circumstances.

Do not repay with evil;instead choose to respond with grace, love,and forgiveness.

Matthew 16:23
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."

-Get behind me Satan Rebuking spirit of Satan upon Peter.
Peter is one of the chosen amongst 12 but here we see him under attack.
That makes him to become a stumbling block
He was not calling Peter Satan.Rather,He was Rebuking the influence and opposition of the enemy that was speaking through Peter.

-our prayer
-Get behind me,Satan Rebuke every evil influence that may come through anyone around me.
-Holy spirit, give me discernment, procted me,and guide me away from anything that is not from God, in Jesus name I pray Amen.

DEVINE ACCELERATION

-I speak divine change upon my life
-Divine acceleration
-I reject every spirit of stagnation and declare that I will move forward according to God's purpose for my life.
-May the divine grace of speed, progress, and breakthrough rest upon me.
In Jesus name.

¹³When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

-Peter answered 'You are the Christ,the son of the living God "

-Because of Peter's response, he found favour in the eyes of the Lord. Jesus said to him,You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it
-Peter knew who Jesus was,and his respond revealed the depth of his relationship and understanding of Him.
