CONFIRMATION 2026

Our confirmation divine service was held by Community Evangelist Ronald Trueman.

Bible word for the divine service was taken out of the book of Matthew chapter 10 verse 32

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven."

Message:
We profess our faith in Christ.

Summary
■ We believe in Christ and are not intimidated by
the world.
■ The gospel determines our words, our actions,
and our entire being.
■ The gospel is a great power and the source
of our salvation.
■ We acknowledge Christ in the presence of others.

Before holy communion our 2 confirmands came to the altar, said their vow and got their blessing.

The divine service was closed off by our choir who sang HC 386 "How Excellent"

We are wonderfully made!

The divine service on the third Sunday of January 2026 marks the opening of the Sunday School year. The service was conducted by our Rector Alfonzo Jonkerman.

The text word was read from Psalm 139:4 (NKJV)
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."

Message
You are wonderfully made, even if others or you yourself don’t realise it.

The Bible text emphasises that God has wonderfully created each of us, even when we or others fail to acknowledge it. All of His creations are marvellous and deeply loved just as they are. Let us, therefore, refrain from judging others and
instead appreciate the goodness that exists within everyone.

Summary
■ The creatures God has made are marvellous.
■ God loves you just as you are.
■ Let us not judge others. Everyone has their good points.

After the Divine Service all the children and parents were invited to attend a presentation welcoming our children to the Sunday School.

Christmas Day 2025

On the 25th December 2025, the divine service was conducted by our Rector Jonkerman, and Priest Abrahams was called to serve along.

The Bible text: Phillippians 2:5-7
"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men."

Message
Our actions bear witness to the sincerity of our love. We prove our love for Him by giving up our pride and doing good.

The Bible reading was read by sister Carla Louw from Luke 2: 1-14.
