We officially launched the MMI Class of 2026 this past Saturday, 14 March β marking the beginning of what promises to be a transformative journey for this cohort.
This year is particularly significant as we celebrate 10 years of the Marketplace Ministry Institute (2016β2026) β a decade of raising leaders equipped to influence the marketplace with purpose and conviction.
The day was rich and intentional, laying a strong foundation for understanding faith in the marketplace and the call to purposeful leadership.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our Programme Director, Lungile Nozulu Mpisane , for stewarding the day with excellence, and to all our facilitators:
β’ King Tshepo Mokgoto
β’ Prof Maurice Radebe
β’ Confidence Seleme
The day was both rich and intentional, setting a strong foundation for understanding the role of faith in the marketplace and the responsibility of purpose-driven leadership.
Mr King Tshepo Mokgotho, unpacking what the marketplace truly is β from Godβs original intent in Genesis 1:26, to the various spheres of influence, and ultimately positioning the marketplace as a platform for impact.
After engaging group discussions, Prof Maurice Radebe led a thought-provoking session on living with purpose, drawing on biblical models such as Daniel and Paul to illustrate purposeful leadership across different domains of society.
The afternoon session by Confidence Seleme challenged the cohort to reflect deeply on leadership β not just as a concept, but as a personal calling. The focus on becoming a high-purpose leader resonated strongly, prompting introspection and commitment.
What stood out most was the hunger, engagement, and readiness of the Class of 2026 to grow, lead, and influence with purpose.
As we celebrate 10 years of MMI, we look forward with expectation to the impact this cohort will make in the marketplace and beyond.
