Midrand Parish is a parish of ELCSA, within the Western Circuit of the Central Diocese. ELCSA stands for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa. The Church shall therefore have an office of Bishop entrusted with an oversight concerning the Teachings and Spiritual matters. The foundation upon which the Church stands is Jesus Christ, the Word of God as proclaimed in the canonical books o

f the Old and New Testaments, which we believe to be correctly explained by the three ecumenical symbols, namely the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed and the writings of the Lutheran Reformation, especially the Catechisms of Dr Martin Luther and the Unaltered Augsburg Confession. In addition to the above the Church may be called upon to make doctrinal statements in order to witness to and to defend Biblical truth and Christian Faith against anti-Christian forces in her environment and heresies within the Church.

โ€˜He restores my soul.โ€™ (Psalm 23). It is God Who comes to renew your strength. He wants to refresh and renew your heart and soul. He will lift you up when you feel worn down. He continually restores, renews, and revives us throughout life. Heavenly Father, Lord, I choose to look to You as my Source of help and strength. You are the Lord Who keeps me and You are the One Who restores and preserves my soul, both now and forever more. I say this prayer through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

This is what the LORD says: โ€˜The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the land.โ€™ (1 Kings 17:14). God is able to sustain you, even in difficult seasons. His provision may seem small, but it will be enough. The Lord knows what you need and He will provide faithfully. Trust Him to carry you through until the breakthrough comes. Almighty Father, Lord, thank You that You are my Provider. In every season, help me to trust that Your supply will not run dry. Carry me each day and remind me of Your faithful care. I say this prayer through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

โ€˜I, the LORD, will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.โ€™ (Isaiah 41:17b). Things may be tough, but God is still with you. You are in the hollow of His hand. The moment you call on Him, He is ready to answer your call. Keep your eyes on the Lord and know that He loves you. Almighty Father, Lord, thank You that You never leave me and that You always hear me when I call. When life feels hard, refresh me with Your peace and strength. Help me to keep my eyes on You and to remember how much You love me. I say this prayer through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

โ€˜Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His Name.โ€™ (Psalm 100:4). Each day is another opportunity to start again on the right foot. Every new day gives you a fresh chance to begin well and make better choices. It is also a new opportunity to move forward in the right direction. No matter what happened yesterday, today is a new opportunity to begin again. Heavenly Father, Lord my redeemer, today I choose to begin with thanksgiving and praise. Thank You for new mercies and fresh opportunities. Help me to move forward in the right direction and to honour You in all that I do. I say this prayer through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

โ€˜He sprang to his feet and began to walk. โ€ฆwalking and leaping and praising God.โ€™ (Acts 3:8). God did a miracle for this man who had been lame from birth. The Lord turned his situation around and left him in a much better condition. It was an act of faith for him to jump up and walk. His response shows us how to respond to Godโ€™s work in our lives. Heavenly Father, Lord, thank You that You are still the God of miracles. Help me to trust You and respond with faith and praise for all You are doing in my life. Turn every difficult situation around for Your glory. I say this prayer through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

โ€˜If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!โ€™ (Luke 11:13). We should not sit back and wait for something to happen. We should step out and ask the Lord for those things we need. Ask, and you will receive and your joy will be full. His strength is available to you. Just ASK! Almighty Father, Lord, I come to You and ask for Your help, strength, and guidance. Thank You that You are a loving Father Who gives good gifts to His children. Fill my heart with faith to ask boldly and to trust You completely. I say this prayer through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

โ€˜I will turn toward you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will establish My covenant with you.โ€™ (Leviticus 26:9). Can you picture Godโ€™s face and favour turning towards you? It reminds us that we have a personal relationship with the Lord. God has always been faithful to His promises. He remains faithful to His promises to you today. Almighty Father, Lord, thank You that Your favour rests upon my life. Turn Your face toward me and let Your blessing and faithfulness be evident in all I do. Help me to trust Your promises and walk closely with You each day. I say this prayer through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

โ€˜May the LORD cause you to flourish, both you and your children.โ€™ (Psalm 115:14 ). Never underestimate God's ability to provide for you. God knows and cares for each of us individually. He desires to bless and cause His people to flourish. He is a loving Father Who cares for you and for your children. Almighty Father, Lord, thank You that Your desire for me and my children to flourish. Pour out Your blessing, provision, and favour over our lives. Help us to grow in every way and to walk in the fullness of Your goodness. I asking this through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
