ELCSA is an Episcopal Church. The Church shall therefore have an office of Bishop entrusted with an oversight concerning the Teachings and Spiritual

matters. The foundation upon which the Church stands is Jesus Christ, the Word of God as proclaimed in the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments, which we believe to be correctly explained by the three ecumenical symbols, namely the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed and the writings of the Lutheran Reformation, especially the Catechisms of Dr Martin Luther and the Unaltered Augsburg Confession. In addition to the above the Church may be called upon to make doctrinal statements in order to witness to and to defend Biblical truth and Christian Faith against anti-Christian forces in her environment and heresies within the Church.

‘I will restore My people…’ (Amos 9:14). It is the Lord Who promises restoration and blessing to His people. He is committed to restoring His people and that includes you. Even in the darkest times, God offers hope. His promise to restore reminds us that He can bring beauty from ashes. Sovereign Lord of Heaven and Earth, Lord, thank You for the hope that I have in You. You are the Lord Who takes what is used and damaged and restores it to newness of life and usefulness in Your hands. Turn things around and do a work of restoration in my life I pray through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.🙏🏾

‘The battle belongs to the LORD.’ (1 Samuel 17:47). God is not helpless when it comes to the things you are facing. Some of the battles we face should be left in God’s hands. The Lord is capable of defending His Own honour and truth. Trust in God's power and don’t be overwhelmed by circumstances. Almighty God, Our Refuge and Strength. Lord, help me to see that the battle belongs to You. I choose to rely on Your strength in my battles. I trust in Your power and in Your ability to deliver me, through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.🙏🏾

‘So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take away sickness from among you.’(Exodus 23:25). To serve the LORD includes worship, obedience, and to trust in His Word. When you give Him first place in your life, a shift takes place. He promises to provide the necessities of life for you. Health and freedom are just some of the blessings you can trust God for.
God of All Comfort, Our Refuge and Strength, Lord, I declare that it is my heart’s desire to love and to serve You. My provision does not depend on my human strength, but on Your faithful care for me. Bless my bread and water and take sickness away from me, I pray through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.🙏🏾

‘He will bring justice to all who have been wronged.’n (Isaiah 42:3b). The Lord sees every injustice and knows when you have been wronged. Nothing that happens to you escapes His attention. You do not have to fight every battle; you can place it in His hands. Trust Him to bring justice in His perfect way and timing. Sovereign Lord of Heaven and Earth, Lord, thank You that You see and know everything I face. I place every injustice into Your hands and trust You to make things right in Your way and timing, through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.🙏🏾

‘See! The winter is past… flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come!’ (Song of Solomon 2:11-12). No winter season lasts forever. God can bring new life after difficult and barren seasons. The appearance of flowers reminds us that change and renewal are possible. Believe that a new season of hope and joy can begin in your life. Merciful Father, Lord of the Harvest, thank You that difficult seasons do not last forever. Bring new life, fresh hope, and renewed joy into my life. Help me to embrace the new season You have prepared for me through Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.🙏🏾
