Yesterday we had the privilege of welcoming the Stellenbosch Madrigaalsangers at Trinity for our Sunday Afternoon Choir Concert.

The audience were blown away by their magnificent and joyful singing as they took us on a trip with songs around the world!

Hello friends

What a wonderful day it was as we opened the doors to Cornerstone Café.

We are so thankful to God for this new ministry and for the opportunity to create a space where people can enjoy a good coffee and something to eat, work on a laptop, catch up with friends, have a Bible study, meet with others, and simply spend time together. We are starting small, let’s see where God leads.

Our prayer is that Cornerstone Café will be a place of connection, conversation, friendship and faith. Most of all, we pray that it will be a place where people can encounter the love and presence of God.

Ezekiel 47 gives us a beautiful picture of the living waters flowing from the temple. Verse 9 says, “Where the river flows everything will live.” Verse 12 speaks of trees whose fruit provides nourishment and whose leaves bring healing.

This is not only our theme for this month during season of creation, it is also our prayer for Cornerstone Café and the Trinity family, that the living waters of God would flow through this place, bringing refreshment, encouragement, healing and new life to everyone who comes through the doors.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this ministry possible. We look forward to seeing Cornerstone Café grow into a place where faith is strengthened, and God’s love is shared.

Come along on Fridays, bring a friend, grab a coffee, pull up a chair and be part of what God is doing.

We would just like to remind you all of our upcoming choir concert on the 6th of September, this Sunday afternoon at 3pm. It is R100 per person, which includes the performance and the tea, coffee and snacks after the concert.

The Stellenbosch Madrigal Singers is a chamber choir of 13 people. They sing a combination of devotional and a few whimsical and playful non-devotional acapella music.

We want to encourage you all to please come and listen to their beautiful singing. Come and bring a friend or family member along.

Here is a short song just to leave you with a little teaser, but we’re looking forward to enjoying their music with you in person.

We had a bit of a show and tell at our last Women's Ministry Craft morning :)

Some ladies hard at work making things for our craft table at our annual Fete, which will be on the 31st of October 2026. While others busy knitting baby jerseys for The Zoe Project.

Thank you ladies for yet another lovely morning and for bringing light to the world with your crafts and hands.

This past weekend, 42 women attended a retreat at Simonsberg Christian Center. The theme of the retreat was ‘God Still Speaks’ and it was centered around Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God”.

It was a time of rest, renewal, and walks in nature. The food was delicious, and the sense of fellowship amongst the women was tangible.

The teaching and worship sessions were anointed by God, and two plays were performed by Nicola Moerman, which will forever change the way I view the story of Mary and Martha!

The weekend included a silent prayer walk, stopping at twelve prayer stations, where we were guided on how to pray from the Bible for ourselves, our communities, our churches, and our world.

One of the ladies expressed the essence of the weekend as follows:

“What I loved most about the retreat was all the different people, from different areas, all unique in our own ways with different dynamics and traits coming together in sisterhood with Christ.”

We’ve already shared the exciting news that our coffee shop is opening on Friday, 4 September. Today, we want to share a little more about what we hope it will become.

The coffee shop will be run by our Hospitality Ministry, and the heart behind it is simple: to create a welcoming gathering place for our congregation and our neighbourhood. A place to sit with a friend and chat, meet a colleague for a quick coffee and something to eat, or simply enjoy some time together.

It’s inspired by the Turquoise Table, the idea of creating intentional spaces where people can connect and community can grow.

For now, the coffee shop will be open every Friday from 08:30 to 14:00. As it grows, we hope to add more days.
