THERE IS NO AUTOMATIC RELATIONSHIP

- No relationship functions automatically; it requires the effort and commitment of all involved parties.
- Neglecting your responsibilities can end a relationship, no matter how much your partner loves you.
Scripture: Matthew 7: 23 [ESV]
- When Jesus says, โI never knew you,โ He means He has never had a relationship with you.
- If you neglect your relationship with God, He will deny ever knowing you when the time comes.
- God has given you salvation, but He also requires your effort and active participation in your own salvation.
- Godโs love is always flowing to you, so if it does not flow back to Him, there is no relationship between you and God.
- Sin has also sought to establish a relationship with humanity.
- Sin presents you with a task to complete so that you can maintain a relationship with it.
- You once had a close relationship with sin, which is why it persistently seeks your love back.
- Sin can die when you stop doing the work it requires of you.
- You were not saved to remain passive; your Saviour, Provider and Protector yearns for a relationship with you.
- To maintain a strong relationship, it is crucial to take an active role in its success.
- Iron sharpens iron, so both partners must contribute to a healthy relationship.
- A relationship requires effort. It involves working together, improving your environment and communicating effectively.
- Jesusโs relationship with His Father allows Him to comprehend His Fatherโs desires.
- Relationships are revelation driven.
- Christianity is not about being in the grace [but it is about faithfully doing your work].
- The relationship where you spend most of your time and effort is ultimately your destination.
- If you neglect your relationship with God, not only will He remain unaware of you, but He will also drive you away from His presence.
- Be careful of being in church when you are not working for Jesus.
- God is the source of all things, yet He still expects you to give, as a way of strengthening your relationship with Him.
- If you neglect your relationship with God, He will deny ever having known you.
- Jesus died for you, yet you continue to fail to live for Him. He took your place, but you are never interested in taking His place.
- You should love and forgive others not because of them, but as a way of strengthening your relationship with God.
- Do not let grace discourage you from nurturing your relationship with God. Instead, let it empower you to grow closer to God because grace is there to give you the confidence to do your work.
Scripture: Isaiah 29: 13 [NIV]
- Godโs words from our scripture reading were a plea for the relationship between you and Him to work.
- People often speak to God but their actions do not align with their words. This disconnect erodes the trust that should exist between them and God.
- Instead of dwelling too much in trying to know too much about God, can you start working for Him, and working on what you already know about Him.
- God is not interested in words without supporting actions [empty words].
- Your heart will always be where your treasure is. If you treasure Jesus then your heart will always be with Him.
- Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, but His were washed by a pr******te because the disciples were used to receiving from Jesus.
- The pr******te was remembered. You should also do work for Jesus so that you may be remembered and not rejected on the last day.
- When Jesus entered into Zaccheousโ house, he started doing the work of cleaning his life because he was interested in making sure that his relationship with Jesus worked.
- Both faith and your relationship require your work, because every relationship is a faith work.
- When things are not going accordingly in your life, be encouraged to do more work for Him.
- There is work demanded from you!
- Resisting the devil is another work required from you.
Scripture: Jeremiah 33: 3 [NIV]
- Calling unto God becomes easy when you know that you have a good relationship with Him.
- You receive according to the level of your relationship with the source.
- You struggle to call unto God for help because the level of your relationship with Him does not permit you to do so.
- The issue of relationship is too practical, even a bank cannot loan you money unless you have a proper relationship with them.
- God could not hide from Abraham what He was going to do in S***m and Gomorrah because of the relationship that existed between the two.
- God will not engage you in certain conversations if your relationship with Him does not grow.
Scripture: 2 Kings 2: 2 & 3 [NIV]
- Despite repeated requests from others, Elisha consistently refused to end his relationship with Elijah.
- If satan can succeed in breaking some relationships, you will miss out on inheritances that are not even in the market.
- You receive because of your relationship, not because you are in need of something.
- At the end, Elisha was not himself or an Elijah, but rather the double portion of Elijah because he did not give up on his relationship with Elijah. Such is not given to people who give up on relationships.
- Fight to have a relationship with Jesus.
- May your agenda in this earth be making God happy because He is the rewarder of those who make Him happy.
Scripture: John 6: 66 - 69 [NIV]
- Even if a person does not need you, if you need that person then you should work on your relationship with them.
- From our scripture reading, Simon Peter refused to leave Jesus because he needed Him.
- Work on yourself as you work on your relationship with God.
- Mastering this will enable you to pray and worship God, as such intimacy demands a relationship with God.
Let your relationship with your situation fall, and your relationship with God rise!
