Sermon by Mr J Khosa

- What happened in S***m and Gomorrah is what God had planned as a result of the sins they committed.

- God put a judgment as a result of the sins committed by the people of S***m and Gomorrah.

- There was a man whose name is Abraham who obeyed every command of God.

- When the three angels passed by where Abraham stayed he welcomed them to his household to feed them with food without knowing that they were angels. He was then told about the destruction that was to happen in S***m and Gomorrah as a result of the wickedness and he then remembered Lot. Abraham then interceded so that Lot would be saved.

- After Abraham had interceded for the people of S***m and Gomorrah, he was told that the lives of the righteous will be spared.

- When the angels entered S***m and Gomorrah, Lot welcomed them as he would do whenever there would be visitors in the city.

- The people in S***m told Lot to bring the two men(angels) so that they can commit adultery but then Lot told them that he has two daughters that they can commit adultery with instead of the angels, the angels struck them with blindness.

- Lot found favor and he was told by the angels to leave the city before it could be destroyed. It is the grace of God that enabled Lot to run away from destruction. The word of God says that when they were commanded to run, they were given an instruction that they must not look back while they were running but the wife of Lot ran and looked back, she then turned into a pillar of salt.

- This means that as children of God we are saved and we must always run forward and never look back. Everyone must run away from sin that is committed at this present age.

- Tell the person that is sitting next to you to run away from sin and the tactics of the devil.

- The Bible says in the book of Isaiah 40: 31,
"But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." A lot of Christians today are weary.

- God is giving us Grace today and strength so that we run away from every iniquities.

- God is inviting everyone to run away from sin so that they prepare themselves to go to heaven that's what the word of God says in the book of Galatians 5:7 says, "You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth?"

- A living church is one that is needed at this time that will run race that is full of commitment so that the sins which are caused by the demons of this age will not find us.

- Our spirits must always be burning so that these evil spirits will not find us.

- We must wake up in our spirits so that we can pray and have devotion and live right.

- Brethren let us run and not grow weary by things which we encounter in our lives.

- Everyone has challenges but the word of God says that they that trust in the Lord, He shall renew their strength.

- Let us run and never look back. The wife of Lot looked back because she did not trust what she was told and she lost Grace

- May God help us when we become tired or weary.
