Anniversary Tribute Speech – 55 Years of Faith
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, distinguished leaders, and cherished members of our congregation,
Today we gather in joy and thanksgiving to celebrate a remarkable milestone — 55 years of our church’s journey. This is not just a number; it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, the vision of our founders, and the dedication of generations who have carried the torch of faith.
We honor the four men who planted this seed of hope and faith: Bishop Gqozo, whose leadership laid the foundation; Pres Kwinana, who faithfully continued the mission and later rose to shepherd us as Bishop after Bishop Gqozo’s passing; and Pres Skhosana and Pres Zange, whose devotion and service strengthened the pillars of this ministry. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering belief in God’s purpose gave birth to the spiritual home we cherish today.
For 55 years, this church has been a place of worship, healing, and community. It has been a sanctuary where prayers rise, where families grow, and where lives are transformed. Through trials and triumphs, God has sustained us, and the vision of our founders has lived on in each generation.
As we celebrate this anniversary, let us not only look back with gratitude but also forward with hope. The next chapter of our journey calls us to remain steadfast, to nurture the faith of our children, and to continue being a light in our community. May we honor the legacy of Bishop Gqozo, Pres Kwinana, and Pres Zange by living out the values they instilled — unity, service, and unwavering devotion to Christ.
Let us rejoice today, for the Lord has done great things among us. And let us commit ourselves to the future, knowing that the same God who carried us through 55 years will carry us into the years to come.
