St. Peter's Anglican Church Kleinvlei St Peter's Anglican Church was established in 1989 and is located in Kleinvlei, Cape Town, South Africa within the Diocese of False Bay.

We are a vibrant Parish rooted in traditional Anglican worship. Currently led by our Rector, Revd Cheryl Ahrends. "St Peter's Church strives to be a safe and inclusive place of worship, acceptance and healing in a broken and fragile community."

🙏 PARISH YPM ADMISSION SERVICE 🙏

Yesterday, our Parish gathered in thanksgiving and celebration for the Admission Service of the Parish Young People's Ministry Council (PYPMC).

The service was made even more special as we also celebrated the Feast of Creation and the beginning of the Season of Creation, while marking the start of Youth Month in the Anglican Church.

We give thanks to God for the young people who have answered the call to serve and lead within the various ministries of our Parish.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each member of the PYPMC. May the Lord bless you as you take up this important responsibility of serving, leading and representing the young people of our Parish.

A special word of thanks to our speaker for this morning, our very own Mikhail van Niekerk, a Fellowship of Vocation (FOV) Candidate and someone who is actively involved in Young People's Ministry within the wider Diocese of False Bay, including the APMC and DYPMC. Mikhail also faithfully serves in various roles within our Parish.

Thank you for sharing a powerful message on calling, leadership and the importance of young people responding to God's call.

As we begin Youth Month and continue our journey through the Season of Creation, we pray that God will guide, strengthen and lead our newly admitted PYPMC as they serve His Church and His people.

May the Lord grant them wisdom, courage, humility and faithfulness as they carry out their ministry.

🌸 ANGLICAN WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP MAKING A DIFFERENCE 🌸

The Parish of Saint Peter Kleinvlei Anglican Church proudly gives thanks for the wonderful outreach initiative of our Anglican Women's Fellowship (AWF).

Through their Sanitary Towel Drive, the AWF collected much needed sanitary products and donated them to the learners of Melton Rose Primary School.

This meaningful initiative is a reminder that compassion is not only something we speak about, but something we put into action. By supporting and empowering young girls with these essential items, the AWF continues to make a real difference in our community.

We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to every member, donor and supporter who contributed towards making this outreach possible.

May God continue to bless the work and ministry of the Anglican Women's Fellowship as they serve Christ by serving others.

🙏🏽✨ PARISH YOUNG PEOPLE'S MINISTRY ADMISSION SERVICE ✨🙏🏽

The Parish of Saint Peter Kleinvlei Anglican Church invites all Parishioners, Families, Friends and especially our Young People to join us this Sunday, 06 September 2026, for a special Parish Young People's Ministry Admission Service.

During this Eucharistic Celebration, we will officially admit and commission the newly appointed members of the Parish Young People's Ministry Council as they take up their calling to serve, lead and journey alongside the young people of our Parish.

This is a significant moment in the life of our Parish as we pray for God's guidance, wisdom and strength upon those who have answered the call to serve.

🙏🏽 PARISH CONCLUSION OF THE MONTH OF COMPASSION SERVICE 🙏🏽

On Sunday, 30 August 2026, the Parish of Saint Peter, Kleinvlei gathered for our special Conclusion of the Month of Compassion Service, with a particular focus on Compassion for the Bereaved.

This meaningful and reflective service provided an opportunity for us to remember those who mourn, to acknowledge the pain and reality of grief, and to be reminded of God's comforting presence in times of loss.

We extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to our special guest speaker, Priscilla Abrahams, who shared a powerful and insightful message on the topic of Grief. Her words encouraged us to understand that grief is a journey and that even in our moments of sorrow, confusion and loss, we are never alone.

As we conclude our Month of Compassion, may we continue to be a Parish that walks alongside those who mourn, comforts those who are hurting, and reflects the love and compassion of Christ in our community.

✝️Admission to 1st Holy Communion & Admission of a new Server🙏🏽

Also, Sunday, 23 August 2026, we gathered for a truly special and meaningful Eucharist Service, not only celebrating Compassion for Christian Education Sunday but also, Theological Education Sunday, and the Admission to First Holy Communion.

🍞 Admission to First Holy Communion

We also celebrated the Admission to First Holy Communion, a beautiful milestone in the faith journey of our young people. We pray that as they come more deeply to the Table of the Lord, they will continue to grow in faith, love and knowledge of Christ.

📚 Theological Education Sunday

As we observed Theological Education Sunday, we were reminded of the importance of learning, teaching and forming faithful disciples who can serve God and His Church with wisdom, understanding and compassion.

⚔️ Guild of the Servants of the Sanctuary

Another joyful moment was the Admission of a new member to the Guild of the Servants of the Sanctuary.

We warmly welcome Luke West into the Guild! 🎉

May God bless Luke as he begins this ministry of serving at the altar and assisting in the worship of God. May his service be marked by reverence, dedication and joy.

We give thanks to God for all our young people, our Christian Education leaders, teachers, candidates, servers and everyone who contributed to making this Eucharist such a special celebration.

May we continue to teach, nurture, serve and grow together in Christ.

🙏🏽 Compassion for Christian Education Sunday 📖✝️

On Sunday, 23 August 2026, we had a blessed and meaningful Compassion for Christian Education Sunday Eucharist Service.

This special service was beautifully organised and led by our Bible Class, Pre-Confirmation Candidates and Confirmation Candidates, who took an active role in bringing the liturgy to life and reminding us of the importance of Christian Education in the life of the Church.

A special highlight of the service was the dramatization of the Gospel Reading, Matthew 16:13–20. Through their acting, our young people brought the encounter between Jesus and His disciples to life, helping the congregation to reflect more deeply on Jesus’ question:

“But who do you say that I am?”

Their presentation reminded us that Christian Education is not simply about learning Scripture, but about knowing Christ, understanding our faith, and having the courage to live out that faith in the world.

We give thanks to God for our Bible Class, Pre-Confirmation and Confirmation Candidates, and for all those who supported and guided them in preparing for this special Eucharist.

May we continue to nurture, teach, encourage and walk alongside our young people as they grow in faith and discover their calling within the Body of Christ.

🌸 ANGLICAN WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP WOMEN’S DAY ARTS & CRAFTS DAY 🎨✨

Yesterday, Saturday, 08 August, our Anglican Women’s Fellowship (AWF) hosted a beautiful Women’s Day Arts & Crafts Day at the church. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, creativity, laughter and togetherness as women gathered to celebrate, connect and simply enjoy one another’s company. 💐

A heartfelt thank you to all the organisers and members of the AWF who worked so faithfully behind the scenes to make this gathering possible. Your dedication, time and effort are truly appreciated.

We also extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported the day. Your presence helped create such a warm and joyful atmosphere, and we hope that each person went home feeling encouraged, refreshed and inspired. ❤️

A very special thank you to Geraldine Kleyn, who travelled all the way from McGregor to join us and facilitate our Arts & Crafts session. 🎨🌷 Thank you, Geraldine, for sharing your creativity, skills and time with us. We truly appreciate you making the journey to be part of our Women's Day celebration.
