St. Peter's Anglican Church Kleinvlei St Peter's Anglican Church was established in 1989 and is located in Kleinvlei, Cape Town, South Africa within the Diocese of False Bay.

We are a vibrant Parish rooted in traditional Anglican worship. Currently led by our Rector, Revd Cheryl Ahrends. "St Peter's Church strives to be a safe and inclusive place of worship, acceptance and healing in a broken and fragile community."

The Second Sunday after Pentecost
💙🤍 Saint Peter’s Children’s Service 💙🤍

Today at the Parish of Saint Peter Kleinvlei, we gave thanks for our children during a special Children’s Service held in light of Child Protection Week. As a parish family, we are reminded of our responsibility to nurture, protect and guide our children in the love and knowledge of God.

We also celebrate the re-establishment of the St Christopher’s Guild in the Diocese of False Bay yesterday, as we continue strengthening ministries that care for and support our young people within the Church.

A special highlight of the service was our Sunday School rendering an uplifting item in song, reminding the people of Kleinvlei that we are called to be soldiers in the Army of God standing firm in faith, love and righteousness.

May we continue creating safe spaces where every child is valued, protected and encouraged to grow spiritually and emotionally.

🎉🎂 This morning, Wednesday, 03 June 2026, the Parish of Saint Peter Kleinvlei had the joy and privilege of celebrating the birthday of our beloved Rector, Reverend Cheryl Ahrends, which was on Sunday, 31 May.

We give thanks to Almighty God for her faithful leadership, caring heart, and dedicated ministry within our parish family and community. Thank you, Reverend Cheryl, for your unwavering service, prayers, guidance, and love for God’s people.

May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen you with wisdom, peace, good health, and abundant grace as you continue to shepherd His flock. We pray that this new year of your life will be filled with joy, favour, and many blessings.

Today the Parish of Saint Peter Kleinvlei was proudly and beautifully represented by our Church Lads and Girls Brigade Company at the Blue Downs Archdeaconry Young People’s Ministries Council - St Claire of Assisi Malibu Village Organisation Open Day.

We give thanks to Almighty God for every young person, leader and parishioner who continues to serve faithfully and represent our Parish with love, humility and dedication. May this Trinity Sunday continue to remind us of the unity, fellowship and mission we share as the Body of Christ.

May the Father guide us, the Son strengthen us and the Holy Spirit inspire us in all that we do.

Daar is ook vloedslagoffers, huise wat weggespoel het en mense wie als verloor het. Die Skool gaan nou die kinders en huisgesinne identifiseer en dan verder die uitreiking doen. Baie dankie vir gebedsmaatjies se donasies en harte van barmhartigheid wat hierdie uitreiking moontlik gemaak het. Mag die Here u ryklik seën 🙏

🌍✨ St Peter Africa Day Celebration ✨🌍
Wednesday Morning Service | 27 May 2026

This morning, we gathered in joyful celebration of Africa Day — giving thanks for our rich cultures, unity, faith, and the many blessings God continues to pour upon our continent. ❤️💛💚

During the service, we also shared in a special Cup of Compassion reflection based on our Gospel Reading from Mark 10:46–52, the story of Blind Bartimaeus. Parishioners were invited to bring a cup and write on it what is currently filling their cup — whether it be joy, worry, gratitude, pain, hope, or prayer.

Together, as a parish family, we lifted one another up in prayer, reminding ourselves that Jesus hears every cry and sees every heart. 🙏☕

“Take heart; get up, He is calling you.” – Mark 10:49

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this morning so meaningful. May we continue to walk together in compassion, faith, and love.

✝️ CMS Outreach Project✝️

On this blessed Pentecost Sunday, the Men’s Society of St Peter’s Church had the privilege of carrying out an outreach project to the Parish of Bella Vista in the Archdeaconry of Breede Valley through the donation of clothing to those in need. 🙏👔👕❤️

We thank God for the opportunity to serve His people and to share the spirit of love, unity, and generosity that Pentecost represents. It was truly a meaningful day of fellowship, compassion, and community outreach.

A sincere word of gratitude to everyone who contributed, donated, and supported this initiative. Your kindness has made a difference in the lives of many.

St Peter's Kleinvlei Mothers Union Branch extends heartfelt gratitude to the Golden Connect Senior Social Club for partnering with us in our clothing and blanket drive for the residents of Worcester who have been severely affected by the recent storms. ❤️🙏

Through this collaboration, we were able to collect and share much-needed warmth, comfort, and hope with families facing difficult circumstances during this challenging time.

A sincere thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and contributed in any way. Your kindness and generosity truly remind us that together, we can make a difference in the lives of others.
