I Thessalonians 5:11 NKJV

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Greetings brethren in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Some days can be sunny some can be very stormy in the life of a believer. People can be and are going through a lot out there. As a child of God you need to know this and know what to do. ln Thessalonians we are told something very powerful that we should all do. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. We are told to comfort and edify one another always in our walk of faith.

People can be around you, smiling and be with you but going through a lot. We need to be able to identify those that have drawn back and in distress. We need to be able to comfort them in whatever they are going through. Be the reason they can heal, smile and find hope again. Show them love and let them know that someone cares for them. Let your words soothe their pain and give them genuine comfort.

Look at those facing destruction and being destroyed in faith and life. Find ways of edifying them and bringing them back to the place of faith. Let us build one another up by what we do and say to one anotther. More than praying for each other let us encourage one another. Give one another when in lack and support one another when weak. This builds a system of restoration, recovery and resistance to backsliding.

Prayer Point: Lord help us to comfort and edify one another in love in Jesus mighty name.

Jeremiah 30:3 NKJV

For behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. ‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.’ ”

Greetings brethren in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

The Lord is faithful and just to fulfill his promise to his people. He is able to save and deliver his own. He says For behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. The Lord will surely bring you back from captivity and you are his people. This is a promise we should rejoice in knowing the Lord will save you. Despite what you can face he will save you.

‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.’ ” When the Lord saves and delivers you he will return you to the ancient paths of your fathers. What the Lord would have given to your fathers as an inheritance will be restored to you. The Lord will bestow you the blessings that belong to you. You will possess your possessions because the Lord is with you. The Lord our God is a restorer of man.

In whatever situation you find yourself know that the Lord is bringing you out. He is setting you up for elevation and expansion. Just believe and see the hand of God raising you. May you never lose hope in your God. May your faith remain and grow stronger in the Lord. The one who has promised is able and he can do the impossible. The days are coming and they are upon us for the Lord to save, deliver and bring back his people

Prayer Point: Father thank you for saving, delivering and restoring me in Jesus mighty name.

Revelation of Christ Ministry Devotion

I Thessalonians 4:7 NKJV

For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.

Greetings brethren in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

We need to remain in touch with the reality of what we are called to. What God desires and wants for us as his children. We are told that God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. What is uncleanness? a state of spiritual impurity, defilement, or moral failure that separates a person from a holy God. This involves all sorts of immorality. We are not called to be like this yet many in the church maintain such standards.

Many have no shame in it and it is sad how people called believers parade such a life. We need to repent and walk in the right path. We are called unto holiness as believers. What is holiness?Holiness is commonly defined as being separate or set apart. God is holy in that he is set apart from everything that is not God, and God’s people must be holy by being set apart from sin. Holiness according to this definition is separateness that entails moral purity.

This we need and we can not do it alone in the flesh. It takes the empowerment of the holy spirit to be holy. The flesh does not help in holiness but desires us to walk opposite to holiness. We do not set ourselves apart but we are set apart by God. Our duty and role is to live right in the physical. To avoid that which brings moral decay. To strive not to quench the spirit who enables us to walk in holiness. Know what matters and the effects of certain things.

Prayer Point: Lord l refuse to walk in uncleanness, help me and make me walk in holiness in Jesus mighty name.

Jeremiah 29:10-11 NKJV

[10] For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. [11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Greetings brethren in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We always use Jeremiah 29 vs 11 but do you know for the Lord to say this he had sent lsrael into captivity. He had allowed king Nebuchadnezzar to bring them captive into babylon. This was after a chilling prophecy was given by God through Jeremiah. He had said be comfortable and live a normal life in there. Build homes, gardens, marry and give into marriage. Why? Because the Lord knew the times and what he had purposed for the children of lsrael.

For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. After they had rebelled against God and disobeyed his word they went into captivity. The same God that sent them there comes and says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. How? and why after you sent us into captivity?

Our God is a loving God and what can seem as a trial is a season of discipline and alignment. God sent them there so they could repent, realign and be restored. In our nature we need to be pushed to do the right thing. You could be facing your babylon today and all you need to do is go back to your God. He loves and cares for you but you have to learn your lessons and repent. Ask yourself what is my situation and condition teaching me. What is it that l need to make right with my God?

Prayer Point: Lord help me not to harden my heart in sin, rebellion and disobedience. l refuse to prolong any condition that is not of God in Jesus mighty name.

Greetings brethren in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

God is love and he abounds in it. A believer that does not walk in love does not know God or imitate God. The Lord can and will make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all. lt is the nature of God to love and give love. He has the ability to increase and make you abound in love effortlessly. All we need to do is to surrender our hearts to him. Let him guide and direct you in his love. This is what makes him God and nothing can change that.

In order for us to increase and abound in love we need to learn to love self first. Many of us are victims of self you do not love yourself enough. You can not be able to love others without loving self first. You can not give to others what you are failing to give yourself. Start loving yourself and know that God loves you also that is the first step. From loving yourself then you can be able to love others and abound in it.

Love is powerful and effective when it is given and expressed in the right way. lt can change a lot of things and also stop a lot of harmful things. Genuine love can restore, rebuild and unite. It is a powerful force that noone can resist and can soften even the hardest of hearts. Many people what they lack and need is love. Be a carrier of love and abound in it towards others. The answer to the crisis in this world is pure and genuine love.

Prayer Point: O God increase and make me abound in love in Jesus' mighty name.
