Baptist News : Temba Baptist Community Church Feeds Hundreds Every Sunday❤️

Temba, Hammanskraal | North of Pretoria

Baptist News visited Temba Baptist Community Church this past Sunday, where the senior pastor is Pastor D. Mashigo.

What we saw was more than a service — it was the love of Christ in action. The singing and preaching were exceptional and the room was electric.

Every single Sunday this church serves a full hot meal to everyone who attends:
Starch + 2 Meats + 3 Salads + 2 Veggies + Drinks

And it starts early:
Morning: Tea, Coffee + Sandwiches with cold meat, eggs, cheese and lettuce
Children’s Church: Also gets breakfast
After Main Service: Everyone is served lunch

When we asked Pastor Mashigo how they do it, his answer was simple:
“This can only be ascribed to the Lord God Almighty.” 🙏

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat...” – Matthew 25:35
This is the gospel lived out. No one leaves hungry — body or soul.

Well done Temba Baptist Community Church. You’re feeding people, discipling people, and pointing them to Jesus Christ.

At the Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting in Orlando approved the “Truth and Unity Amendment,” reinforcing the denomination’s ban on women serving as pastors, elders, or overseers.

The vote passed 6,028 to 2,026, receiving 74.66% support, above the two-thirds threshold required. It states that cooperating SBC churches must not “affirm, appoint, or endorse a woman serving in the office or function of a pastor/elder/overseer.”
