YOUTH DAY | 16 JUNE

“But Daniel resolved not to defile himself…” — Daniel 1:8

What does it mean to be a young person with a difference?

It means choosing God’s way when everyone else follows the crowd. It means standing firm in your values, remaining faithful under pressure, and living a life that reflects Christ. Like Daniel, young people with a difference are courageous, disciplined, and committed to honoring God in every situation.

Today I declare: I am a GENERATION IMPACTOR — called to influence, inspire, and lead with integrity, faith, and purpose. My life will make a difference, and my generation will be transformed for God’s glory.

Happy Youth Day!

FAITH TO ACTIVATE

By Bishop-Elect O. Masakona

Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20:2–3 (NKJV)

“Then some came and told Jehoshaphat… And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord…”

Message

Be careful what you hear. What you hear has the power to activate something within you.

When Jehoshaphat heard that a great multitude was coming against him, fear was activated. The report he received produced fear before the battle even began.

Many believers today are defeated not by the battle itself, but by the reports they keep listening to. Negative words, bad news, and discouraging circumstances can activate fear if we allow them to take root in our hearts.

However, Jehoshaphat did not remain in fear. He turned to God and sought the Lord. He replaced the voice of fear with the voice of God.

The same way fear is activated by negative reports, faith is activated by the Word of God. When we hear God’s Word, believe it, and obey it, faith rises within us and positions us for victory.

To activate the Word of the Lord in your life, you must:

* Listen to the Word of God.
* Believe the Word of God.
* Obey the Word of God.

Whatever report you hear today, choose to believe the report of the Lord. When God’s Word becomes your focus, faith is activated and victory becomes your portion.

Be careful of what you hear, Jehoshaphat feared because of the word he heard and it activated fear.

[Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar” (which is En Gedi). And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.] - 2Chronicles20:2-3 NKJV

For you to activate the Word of the Lord, you need to listen to the Word of the Lord and be obedient to it.

✨ SPOT THE DIFFERENCE ✨

📖 Daniel 3:17

Today’s powerful Word by Pastor challenged us to examine our faith, character, leadership, and purpose.

Key takeaways:

• Before appointing leadership, ask if they have the budget—not only financially, but the spiritual maturity, commitment, and capacity to carry the assignment.

• When the pastor corrects you, do you grow or do you want to quit? Correction is not rejection; it is often God’s way of developing and preparing us for greater responsibility.

• Purpose will help you to be clear about your life’s direction. When you know your purpose, you are less likely to be distracted by opinions, obstacles, or temporary setbacks.

• Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, true faith stands firm even in the fire, trusting that God is able to deliver.

The difference is revealed under pressure:

➡️ Faith or fear?
➡️ Commitment or convenience?
➡️ Purpose or confusion?
➡️ Growth through correction or quitting at correction?

May we be believers who remain steadfast, teachable, purposeful, and faithful no matter the season. 🔥🙌

Sometimes you will go through stuff, not because you were wrong but simply because God used your life to prove his character.

[“If the God we serve truly exists, then he will save us from death at your hand, O king. So, if you throw us into the fiery furnace, our God is able to save us.”] - Daniel 3:17 TPT

The fire that Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego were thrown into was for God to reveal his true character that he is a God that saves.
