Why Does God Allow Suffering?

This past Sunday, Marilette continued our series on Apologetics, tackling one of the most difficult questions we face: How do we respond when people ask about suffering?

Suffering can raise deep questions about God, His goodness, and His purposes. But apologetics isn’t simply about having all the answers, it’s about being able to respond with truth, grace, compassion, and a confidence in who God is, even when we don’t understand everything.

We were challenged to look beyond simply explaining suffering and to point people back to the hope we have in Christ.

Sometimes, God’s greatest glory is revealed not when we avoid suffering, but when we continue to trust Him through it.

“God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him, and that satisfaction comes through suffering, not inspite of it” — John Piper



‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭puts it simply;

“Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”

Today we celebrate women.
God truly had something special in mind when He created women.

Today we celebrate women who walk in strength, grace and God-given purpose.
May we always remember that we are “clothed with strength and dignity” (Proverbs 31:25) — not because of who the world says we should be, but because of who God created us to be.

May we honour one another, uplift one another, and live boldly as women of faith, knowing that our greatest beauty is found in Him.
