Friendship divine Service

On Sunday, 6th September 2026, the Rector of Knysna congregation, Priest Nathan Harker conducted a divine service at The Epilepsy Center.

He was accompanied by a few of the members of the congregation.

What a blessed encounter was experienced by all receiving God's word.
A true friendship service.

After the rector greeted and photos were taken, a non-perishable food parcel was donated from the congregation to the Epilepsy Center.

Friendship Divine Service

Sunday morning 06th September 2026 saw the yearly friendship divine service take place. Members could invite friends and family to attend the divine service but the Congregation of Conville had a special guest.
Apostle Jacques Cronje visited them and it was a blessed encounter.

The Bible word used for the divine service was taken from 1 John 5 verse 8 NKJV
"And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one."

■The divine Sonship of Jesus Christ is acknowledged by God the Father.
■ The Spirit, the water, and the blood point to the saving effect of the sacraments
administered in the church of Christ.
■ The sacraments are necessary for obtaining salvation in its fullness.

The Apostle called upon the District Rector, Priest Randall Bailey to assist in the serving.
The congregation celebrated the Sacrament of Holy Communion and the choir concluded with a hymn. There was a fellowship prepared for the congregation to enjoy after the divine service but first the members had the opportunity to greet the Apostle.

Friendship Weekend in Pacaltsdorp congregation

The friendship activities in Pacaltsdorp congregation commenced on Saturday morning with a planned walk with the Sunday school children , their friends and their teachers.

On arriving back at church a fundraiser took place where Cake, Sweets and Potjie kos was on sale.

On Sunday morning 6th September a buzz of excitement was amongst the members who invited their friends to the divine service that was conducted by District Elder Carl Dreyer.
An inspirational message of the saving effect of the sacraments was taken from the Bible text 1 John 5:8 NKJV

"And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one."

After the divine service the Sunday school children showcased a recorder jamboree concert together with the orchestra members that everyone enjoyed very much.

Soon the blessed weekend came to a conclusion.

The District Elder thanked everyone for the special sacrifices that they made.

Ministers Meeting for Mossel Bay District

On Thursday 3 September 2026, the ministers of two clusters of the district met for a ministers meeting with Apostle Jacques Cronje at Mossel Bay West Congregation.

A Bible word from Mark 11:17 served as basis for the meeting.

The word offered a wonderful reflection on the spiritual house which is God's work and the relationships that form part of it.

Following the spiritual portion and context, the Apostle invited everyone to share their thoughts and reflections. This brought a personal and heartfelt dimension to the evening as ministers shared their experiences.

The meeting focused on strengthening the ministers and bringing encouragement to them for their faithful service.

The evening drew to a conclusion with prayer and the Apostle greeting everyone present.

Retirement in Blanco

Apostle Jacques Cronje visited Blanco congregation in George West District on Wednesday 2 September 2026

He was accompanied by District Elder Carl Dreyer and the local rectors of the district.

The Bible text was taken from Romans 8 verse 15 and the District Rector was called to serve along at the altar.

After the celebration of Holy communion, Deacon Klaas Pedro was placed into retirement .

Apostle Cronje thanked Deacon Pedro for his ministerial service as well as being a wonderful example of punctuality when opening the church and seeing that the church grounds is kept neat.

After closing the divine service Apostle Cronje took time to greet the members and gave the retired Deacon Pedro the opportunity to have photographs taken with members.

A blessed evening indeed.

Music lessons in Knysna District

For the month of August, music lessons have been conducted by Concordia West and Concordia East congregation for young upcoming musicians.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, they would gather at Concordia East Congregation to teach music theory and the introduction to other instruments.

Divine Service in Kruisrivier congregation in Oudtshoorn District

On Sunday 30 August 2026 the Apostle J Cronje conducted his second service in Kruisrivier

The congregation is situated on the banks of the Kruisrivier River which is in the Oudtshoorn area situated between the Swartberg Mountains and the R62

He was accompanied by the District Rector, District Elder J Paulse

After service the Apostle took time to greet the congregation.

On Sunday 30 August 2026 the Apostle Jacques Cronje conducted the dvine service.

He was accompanied by the District Rector, District Elder J Paulse.

After the celebration of Holy Communion the Apostle ordained Deacon Catherine Cupido as a Priest for the congregation.
