Silver Wedding Anniversary Blessing

On Wednesday 17th June Apostle Jacques Cronje visited Waboomskraal congregation situated just below the Outeniqua mountains.

He was accompanied by District Elder Carl Dreyer.

The bible text was taken from
John 21:5-6
"Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.”
And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some. ” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish." NKJV

Priest Floors Petersen was called to serve along at the altar.

After the celebration of Holy communion, Apostle Cronje invited the rector Priest Alex Mayedwa and his wife Sonia to the altar

The couple received their wedding blessing 7 June 2001 from Priest Afrika Heynse.

The special couple then received their silver wedding blessing from the Apostle who wished them well for a most blessed future married life.

After the Apostle closed the divine service with prayer , the choir concluded with a powerful rendition of "Glory to God"

Apostle Cronje then took time to greet the members and also handed the group of Priestly ministers a certificate who successfully completed their Homiletics program.

YOUTH DAY 16 JUNE

The young people of
Hornlee and Sunridge congregation came together to share a meal with the community.

The young people arrived early to set up the tables and soon warm pots of soup and fresh sandwiches arrived which was immediately dished out and shared to all who welcomed the warm meal with thankfulness.
A member from the community brought 2 boxes of apples that could be share with the community as well.

Indeed a most Blessed day that will be remembered by all the young people.

George West District Youth Day 2026

On the16th June 2026, Young people from Geelhoutboom, Dellville Park, Europe and Pacaltsdorp congregations gathered for a day of fun, laughter, games and fellowship to enjoy and to remember the memory of Youth Day.

The District Rector, District Elder Carl Dreyer joined the group for a few games
The group made their own mini Fifa World Cup and it was sure an exciting game or 2. Fire was made, boerewors rolls were eaten, games were played, music was danced to.

The Young people truly enjoyed themselves

YOUTH DAY

On 16th June, the youth of Kranshoek Congregation visited Reesa Frailcare Center as part of a community outreach for Youth Day.

They took homemade soup, fresh bread, fruit, and cake. This was served to the elderly with care and respect.

During the visit, they spent time with the elderly, helped some eat, and also painted some of the elderly lady's nails, it was a simple act, but it brought joy, dignity, and connection.

“Stand up in the presence of the elderly, show respect for the aged.”

Small acts of kindness can restore dignity, bring joy and remind those in care facilities they are not forgotten and loved.

What a great and blessed day spent with our pioneers.

Silver Wedding Anniversary Blessing.

On Sunday the 14 June 2026, District Rector, Priest Cheslin Coetzee conducted the divine service in Hornlee congregation in Knysna District.

The Bible text was from
Nehemiah 8 Verse 11.
(NKJV)

After the celebration of Holy Communion, the District Rector called Priest Riaan Windvogel and his wife Cherelene to the altar to receive the Silver Wedding anniversary blessing.

After the blessed occasion, the District Rector invited the couple to greet and be wished by the congregation.

Sunday School.Service in De Rust congregation in Oudtshoorn District

On Sunday 14 June 2026 the Apostle J Cronje conducted the divine service

The sermon was based on the Bible text from Jeremiah 29:11: (NKJV)

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

Message
God thinks about us and gives us a future and hope.

Word Summary:
■ God thinks about each person personally and lovingly.
■ His thoughts are thoughts of peace.
■ God not only grants us a future here in this world, but even goes beyond that to promise
us eternal fellowship with Himself.
■ The hope that God gives us strengthens us today and gives us courage in all circumstances.

The children received a special reminder when they are unsure and afraid:
■ God is thinking about you
■ God’s thoughts are thoughts of peace
■ God gives us a future and hope

Visit to Dysselsdorp congregation in Oudtshoorn District

On Sunday 14 June 2026 the Apostle J Cronje conducted the divine service.

He was accompanied by the rector, Priest Jestonio Jacobs.

After service the Apostle took time to greet the congregation and then joined them for a group photograph

On Sunday 14th June 2026 the children attended a special Sunday school service to which their parents were invited.

In Pacaltsdorp congregation, District Elder Carl Dreyer conducted the divine service.

The sermon was based on the Bible text from Jeremiah 29:11:

After the closing hymn by the children, the District Elder invited all the children to the front and placed a coin into each ones saving tin. He asked that the parents,teachers and ministers continually contribute while the children save for Thanksgiving and by doing that they keep the door to blessing open.
