All glory to God.
I arrived at a local coffee shop this morning and within a short while a lady came in with her husband in a wheelchair. He was full of energy and the 2 of them smiled and nodded a hello to me.
Suddenly I was back in 2015-2018 when my own husband was recovering from a stroke.
The coffee shops and restaurants knew us well and always made room at the table for him.
It was a journey of grit and grace - so many momentous moments as he learnt to walk with a stick and only needed a cushion for his skinny bum which the staff aways came forward with for him.
I miss him since he is in heaven now - Having said goodbye to this world and all the trips into Africa to preach the gospel as well as running a church and tirelessly instructing his Bible school students. He was the most amazing husband, excellent father and Pop pops.
In 2020 I heard my own call to step out again and pioneer a fresh move in the here and now where the shape of church has changed radically.
So away from the convenience of a set building and worship team..the call for me is to the rich and poor, the saved and lost, the famous and the unknown. What a joy to be healed in the deep places of the heart and to give His message and healing away to the few and the many.
Seeing people reconciled to God as they hear His voice and promises to them fills my love tank again and again..
