This past Sunday, Bishop Dube reminded us that following Jesus costs us something — ourselves.

Let go to walk with God
Discipleship means letting go of the things that hold us back. If we don’t die to self, we’ll keep operating under the flesh.
“For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.” : Galatians 5:17.
Crucify the flesh daily. To be a true disciple, we must overcome the flesh.
1. It starts with self-denial.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” : Galatians 2:20
2. What do you succumb to when you wake up? A disciple chooses to set their mind on the things of the Spirit, not the flesh.
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him: Colossians 2:6
3. Endure with long-suffering
Jesus went to the cross because He carried the spirit of long-suffering. As His disciples, we’re called to endure, deny ourselves, and follow Him daily.
