GOD IS THE ONE WHO GIVES THE FINAL ANSWER



“The plans and reflections of the heart belong to man, but the [wise] answer of the tongue is from the Lord.”
This means that our plans and the plans of the Father are not always the same.
We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.

Inhliziyo yomuntu igcwele amasu amaningi.

The heart of a person is always planning. It takes things in and puts things together. It builds day and night. It creates one plan after another, sometimes without end.
But ultimately, God is the One who gives the final answer to His people.

Today, we are cutting off this spirit of depending on our own plans and our own understanding.
From today, we should not hear a believer constantly worrying about the future.
We should not hear a child of God saying:

“What will happen to me?”
“Where am I going?”
“Will I prosper?”
“What will tomorrow bring?”

Why are you complaining when the Word of God has already spoken?
Bazalwane, uma ubalisa, ubeka lokhu nalokhuya, you are delaying yourselves.
When you keep complaining and going back and forth in your mind, you can delay yourself because you are trying to solve what God has already spoken about.
There was a time when I did not understand that God could prosper us.
We used to pray in our own strength, still full of religion.

You could pray until you lost your voice.
You could pray until you were exhausted.
You could lie on your stomach, turn from one side to another, and pray all night.

But sometimes it was still your own strength.
You had not surrendered.
Awukakafi.
And there is no believer as stubborn as a believer who has not died to self.
When self is still alive, our own plans continue to fight against God's plans.
We can make our plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.

Proverbs 16:2

“All the ways of a man are clean and innocent in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs and examines the motives and intents of the heart and knows the truth.”
Everything we plan can look good in our own eyes.
Zonke izindlela esizi-planayo zibukeka zizinhle emehlweni ethu.
Because I want something, it can automatically begin to look good to me.
But ask yourself:
Why does it look good to me?
Sometimes it looks good simply because I started wanting it.

I have already desired it.
I have already imagined it.
I have already built a future around it.

So now everything begins to look like it will succeed.
It looks as though it will prosper me tomorrow.
But where is God in the plan?
God has not been invited.
It became good in your eyes because you chose it for yourself first.
You made the decision, and then you expected God to approve it.
But when God comes and examines that plan, He may remove it completely.
Then it feels as though God is fighting you.
Kanti uwena.

You may say, “God is against me.”
But perhaps God is not against you.
Perhaps God is removing something that you created without Him.
That is why we must allow God to examine our hearts.

TRUE FELLOWSHIP



“It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He finished, one of His disciples said to Him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.’”

The disciple was hungry and eager to understand true prayer—to learn how to pray, how to intercede, and how to fellowship with God in the Spirit.
It is not that the disciples did not know how to pray. They had prayed before. But as they walked with Jesus, they saw something different.

They watched their Teacher.
Every time Jesus withdrew Himself, He went to a quiet place to pray. He had a secret place where He fellowshipped with the Father.
And the disciples became hungry.
They said:
“Lord, teach us to pray.”

In other words:

“Jesus, You are our Teacher. Teach us how to walk with God. Teach us how to operate in the Spirit. Teach us how to fellowship with the Father. Teach us how to intercede like You.”
There is something powerful about being taught by your Master.
“When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.”

Jesus begins by teaching them something very important:
Before you ask for anything, acknowledge the Father.
Baba wethu osezulwini.
First, understand your Father.

Know the One you are approaching.
Recognize the One you are worshipping.
See Him with the eyes of your spirit.
Acknowledge Him.
When you intercede, do not begin with the problem. Begin with the Father.
Do not allow the circumstances to become greater in your eyes than the One you are praying to.
Look at the Father first.
Know your Father.

When you know who your Father is, you begin to understand who you are in Him. When you recognize His holiness, His authority, His power, and His kingdom, your prayer begins to come from a different place.
Intercession is not simply bringing a list of needs before God.
Intercession is fellowship with the Father.
It is standing before Him on behalf of His people.
It is learning His heart, hearing His voice, and agreeing with His will.
That is why Jesus teaches us to begin:

“Father, hallowed be Your name.”

Father, Your name is holy.
Father, You are worthy.
Father, Your kingdom must come.
Father, Your will must be established.

BE GOOD SOIL

Jesus began to teach the people by the lake. The crowd was so large that He got into a boat and taught them from there.

Pastor Sarah Isaiah continued to teach:
Lapho ukhona, fundisa abantu into okuyiyona.
The crowd will come around you, but do not become crowded by the crowd. Teach the truth.
Be a living seed in the midst of that crowd.
Be a living word.
Be Christ in the midst of the people.
Speak what is right. Let it be seen that you do not belong to the world, even when you are surrounded by it.
Bonakala ukuthi awusiye owezwe uma uhlezi nabo.
Stand for the truth. There will be people who will hear you.

Mark 4:14 — “The farmer sows the word.”
Hallelujah!
Siwumhlabathi onjani lesi sikhathi, bazalwane?
If God wants to plant His things in us, what kind of soil are we?
The seed is the Word of God. God is planting His Word in our hearts, but Jesus teaches us that there are different kinds of soil.
There are people who receive the Word, but immediately the enemy comes and steals the seed.
Imbewu itshaliwe kuwe.
That is why it is important for us to become the right kind of soil.
Let us be good soil where the seed can remain. Let us become soil with deep roots so that when the enemy comes to steal, he cannot take what God has planted in us.
It is time for something to be planted in you.

Fundiseka.
Allow God to teach you.
Allow God to work in you.
God will come and prepare His garden. He will remove the weeds. He will clean what needs to be cleaned.
Mvumele uNkulunkulu asebenze ngendlela yakhe kuwe.
We are God's garden from above.
The seed is the Word of God. Phatha kahle imbewu kaNkulunkulu kuwe. Do not allow the devil to steal what God has planted.
When the seed is planted in you, do not allow it to be eaten by the birds. It is painful when something God has entrusted to you is lost because you did not protect it.

The farmer comes in the morning to care for the garden. In the same way, we must understand ourselves.
Be clean.
Be cared for.
Take care of the garden.
The Word of God takes care of you—not the things of the world.
Awukwazi ukuchelela into kaNkulunkulu ngezinto zomhlaba.
You cannot water what belongs to God with the things of the world.

Mark 4:15
Jesus says that some people are like seed sown along the path. As soon as they hear the Word, Satan comes and takes away what was sown in them.

There are people who receive, but they do not know how to maintain what they have received.
It is time to hear, receive, and maintain the bread of God within you.
Maintain the garden.
Wena uyileyo nsimu.
You are the garden where God wants His Word to grow.

Mark 4:16–17
Some receive the Word with joy, but because they have no deep roots, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the Word, they quickly fall away.

They receive with joy, but there is no depth.
Isitha safika sazodla.
This is why we always say: Go deeper in the Word and deeper in the Kingdom of God.
There are believers who can easily be removed because they have no roots. They are moved by every wind because there is no depth in them.
Be rooted in the Word.
Be rooted in Christ.
Roots are not easily pulled out.
Let your roots be in the Word—not in the grass of this world.

Even when circumstances arise, your tree must remain standing.
Even when the heat comes, your tree must not burn, because there is life within the trunk. The tree receives water through its roots.
So go deeper.
Let the Word of God become your roots. Let Christ become your foundation. Let the Holy Spirit water what God has planted in you.
You are God's garden.
Protect the seed.
Maintain the garden.
Grow deep roots.
Remain in the Word.
And when the storms come, you will still stand.
Be good soil.
Be rooted in Christ.
Let the seed of God's Word produce fruit in you.
