- Balance of three things in the Holy Spirit, within each of us (2 Tim 1:7):
1. Power is Dunamis - explosive manifestations
2. Love is Agape - God-kind of love, selfless love.
3. Sound mind is Sophron - discipline, is discretion and moderation.
- 1 Cor 12 is about Power, 1 Cor 13 is about Love, 1 Cor 14 is about Discipline.
- Love is very important - Paul states that a person can exhibit the manifestations of the Holy Spirit, but without love it is meaningless.
- From 1 Cor 12-14 Paul chastised the church about balance and order.
- In the Knowing, Doing and Speaking - all must be in love.

FEAR

- "For God hath not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" - 2 Tim 1:7
- "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love" - 1 Jn 4:18
- Fear and stress comes from *condemnation* . After the fall, man developed a *conscience*
- "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience" - Heb 10:22
- An evil conscience is a conscious of sin and failure, it is a conscience under condemnation
- Don't believe and confess opposite to your position in Christ, you grieve & quench the Holy Spirit.
- John 16:8-11, the Holy Spirit convicts believers of right standing - Reminds you of your True Identity
- 1 Cor 15:34, the more a believer realises that he is Righteous, the more he will behave like a Righteous person.
- Many believers are putting so much effort in changing circumstances, but the solution is in changing your heart (Matt 12:35)
- The answer lies in right believing!

John 16:8-11 addresses Unbelievers, Believers and The devil.
- Unbelievers because of sin and unbelief
- Believers because of right standing
- The devil because the ruler of this world will be judged and he has been judged.

ONENESS - NEW COVENANT

- Positionally we are one in Christ, our position in Christ must be reflected in our life on Earth by the help of the Holy Spirit.
- Therefore baptism in the Holy Spirit is not an option, it's a must! It's a gift - you must want it and Christ will baptise (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:45; Matt 3:11, John 1:33)

- Oneness with Christ leads to oneness between Husband and wife.
- The baptism in the Holy Spirit is very important for married couples. The Holy Spirit helps you submit to Christ.
- When you are led by the Holy Spirit, the fruits and gifts of the Spirit will manifest (Gal 5:22-26; Gal 6:1; 1 Cor 12)
