ABOUT RANDOLPH BARNWELL

Randolph is happily married to Rene since September 1990. He has three sons [Matthew, Liam & Luke] and one daughter [Rae]. He has been serving the Lord since 1982, and has been engaged in active ministry since 1990. He has served in various leadership capacities within the context of local church and the community in which he grew up. He is a qualified teacher/educator and taught at high school level for seventeen years, before entering full-time ministry as the senior elder of a local church, Eternal Sound Ministries, which he planted in Durban in September 2005. The church was renamed ‘Gate Ministries - Durban Central’ in September 2013. Randolph fulfills a spiritual fathering function to his own household of faith, as well as providing spiritual oversight to New W**e Ministries in Mutare, Zimbabwe. Randolph’s primary grace is that of teaching with an apostolic-prophetic emphasis. He is focused on the development of various resources which capture and document eternal, un-altering principles for effective functioning in life to swiftly accomplish personal and corporate divine destiny. To this end he writes study manuals, books, records audio teachings in series format, and produces musical products. He is also passionate about capturing principles of God’s Word musically. He has written many songs used by many churches.

Made in His Image, Made for His Method
“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.’ So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created him .And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’” — Genesis 1:26, 28 (ESV)
Since God’s own design was to establish the framework before releasing the gift of man as His son to creation, and since we are made in His image and after His likeness, His method should — by design — become our method as well.

Two words stand out in Gene 1:28 subdue and dominion.

To subdue means to take control of something, to dictate its direction. A more modern term for subdue is effective management; a Kingdom term for it is Kingdom stewardship.

Because God’s own framework of creation existed in order and in balance, dominion means that whatever we are stewarding must likewise exist in order, in balance, and under control.

Bradley Harlim’s message explores the concept of God as a builder of frameworks, arguing that the Divine establishes an orderly structure before introducing a specific gift or blessing.

Using the Genesis creation story as a primary template, Harlim explains that God’s method of terraforming the landscape—separating light from dark and land from sea—was the necessary preparation for the arrival of humanity. For the believer, this implies that unanswered prayers are often met with a period of character development and environmental shifting designed to create a sustainable foundation for future responsibility.

Central to this teaching is the mandate for kingdom stewardship, defined as the transition from a passive "genie" view of God to an active partnership in subduing and managing life’s various institutions. Harlim utilizes a video game analogy to illustrate that the true product of life’s trials is the formation of the individual rather than the mere attainment of a goal. By aligning with biblical principles, the believer moves from a state of chaos into dominion, which the author describes as a state of functional balance and order.

The final portion of the message applies this framework to the institution of marriage, positioning the relationship between husband and wife as a vital ecosystem for spiritual success. Harlim depicts the woman as a uniquely designed interface meant to support and multiply the man’s divine assignment, echoing the relationship between Christ and the Church.

Ultimately, Bradley encourages listeners to perceive their life’s difficulties not as abandonment, but as the potter’s hand adjusting the framework to allow the life of Christ to manifest more clearly.
