The Peace Jesus Gives:
John 14:27 (NIV)
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Dear friends,
On the night before He went to the cross, Jesus saw fear in His disciples’ eyes. He knew what was coming—betrayal, suffering, separation. Yet in that moment He gave them His greatest gift: His own peace.
Not the fragile peace the world offers, which disappears the moment trouble comes.
This is Christ’s peace—the deep shalom that comes from perfect union with the Father, the same peace that carried Him through the cross.
Because of the cross, He made peace between us and God (Colossians 1:20).
To you who do not yet know Jesus:
Your heart is restless because sin has separated you from God. Jesus offers you true peace today. Repent, believe in Him, surrender your life. He will forgive you completely and give you peace with God that nothing can take away (Romans 5:1).
To every believer—no matter where you are in your walk:
This promise is yours right now. The very peace that sustained Jesus is freely given to you.
• If you are a new believer, rest in this: you are forever at peace with God.
• If daily pressures are wearing you down, let the Holy Spirit quiet your heart with Jesus’ words.
• If you are walking through deep trials, draw nearer—His peace shines brightest when we trust Him fully.
Today Jesus speaks directly to YOU:
“Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Receive His peace afresh. Stop striving. Trust Him completely.
