Sermon Title: " God has Heard Your Affliction"
Key Scripture: Genesis 16:11
God speaks to Hagar through an angel and informs her that God has heard her cry of Affliction and that she shall bare a son, names Ishmael
• The name Ishmael means "God Hears"
• Like Hannah, you might be in a place of Affliction but know that God is sending the wave of reckoning to rewrite the wrongs of the affliction that you have faced this year.
• In spite of your affliction, know that El Roi (the God who sees you) is with you.
• The wave of reckoning = the fierce power of God as He fights your battles
• God is setting things up in your favor - the favor resting upon your life is greater than the opposition that has come against you
• God is bringing an end to your old seasons and all that has chased you and caused you pain. He is dealing with the hunter - he is destroying the enemies that have tried to destroy you
Psalm 65:11
No matter how challenging your 2026 has been thus far, know that the devil does not get to determine how you end this year, God is fighting for you and you will end this year walking in the abundance of God's goodness

Reckoning in Hebrew is "Chishuv" - what was meant for evil, God turns it around for good - Romans 8:28
Genesis 16:1-4
Don't allow your current season of affliction to cause you to make decisions that result in detrimental outcomes that God never intended for your life
• Abraham and Sarah tried to help God which caused a messy situation of contention in their home - resulting in Hagar being forcefully removed from the home.
• Don't rush the process for the manifestation of your divine promises - stay patient in your waiting season
• When you "try" to help God, you make a mess of things
Daniel 10:11
Inspite of your affliction, know that God has a great name for you. He called Daniel His "greatly beloved" and He called Gideon "mighty man of valour" - Judges 6:11
• Gideon was hiding in the w**e press due to fear but the angel of God didn't address Gideon according to his situation but he called him according to the good purposes of Yahweh within his life
Three Attacks that come to Disrupt or Afflict you
(a) The attack that comes against you and I is because of the call of God upon your life, not because of failure. They come because of the weight of the glory of God upon your life
▪ Principalities are sent in your kairos moments in an attempt to delay and discourage you
(b) Grief is the second attack which makes you feel unseen. Grief doesn't always equate to the death of a loved but can also be the pain of unanswered prayers
• Grief enters when you feel that there is a delay in the manifestation of God's promises for your life
(c) The third attack is when the enemy comes to divide, to delay and divert you.
• The word Persia means "land of divisions" and "the sound of hooves" - Exodus 14:9-10 informs us that the Israelites heard they violent pursuit of the chariots of Egypt that were trying to prevent them from walking into their freedom
• God caused the Red Sea to be a wave of reckoning that destroyed the enemies of the Israelites - likewise, God will destroy all enemies that are trying to chase you down
John 10:10
The enemy may try to bring death to your life through delay but know that Christ came to bring you abundant life! Walk in the

Jesus Christ is the Divine Reckoner - He will break ans destroy all yokes and mountains in your path!
Don't allow your season of affliction to stop you from walking in the greatness that God has purposed for your life!
• Go forth in power and confidence that God is with you and He will deliver you unto victory
