"Come Back to God" by Pastor Grace Mata Futi

This is a sermon based on Revelation 1-3, delivered by Pastor Grace Mata Futi at Mirror Christ Church. Pastor Grace delivered the sermon as a call for believers to return to God and live with purity, holiness, and love.

1. You are the lampstand – Believers symbolize purity, holiness, and carrying God’s light. Jesus is concerned about the condition of the church today.

2. 7 types of believers to address-from Revelation 2-3:

Come back to your first love – God cares about your heart, not just works. Serving without love is a problem.
Be faithful until death– God sees and records all your works, even through trials, persecution, and poverty.
Refuse to compromise – Don’t tolerate sin in the church. Use 3 steps: Take a decision, Repent + Confess, then let the Holy Spirit help you maintain.
Repent of immorality – Seduction can happen through dress, talk, or what you watch. God knows your heart and mind.
Wake up and live– Some areas of spiritual life like prayer, Bible study, passion for God, or the fruits of the Spirit may be dying.
Hold on to what you have – Don’t get tired of loving, giving, forgiving, obeying, and praying. Discouragement can make you lose your crown.
Open your heart, let God rekindle your passion – It’s easier to please the devil than God, so let God occupy your heart fully.

3. Conclusion: The devil uses fleshly desires to make us fall. God wants us to be complete in Christ, not run short. Examine yourself, repent where needed, and open your heart for God to fill it. Jesus is the source of eternal life that never runs dry.

The man of God , Pastor Tumi introduced the title of today’s message, " Discouraging seasons. "
He began by saying "Discouragement is an enemy."
- Satan uses discouragement to dishearten Christians.
- Daniel 7:25
- You need to have fellowship, because you cannot be a strong Christian alone.
- Discouragement can drain your energy.
- Discouragement can also cause depression, withdrawal.
- 1 Samuel 30:1
- You need to encourage yourself in the Lord.
- When people drop you, the only thing you have left is God; run to Him.
- Don't envy what other people have, because God makes things and situations tailor-made for the person.
- Disappointments, betrayal can also lead to discouragement.
- 2 Timothy 4:10
- Trust no one; love everyone.
- 1 Kings 19:1
- God wants to be your partner in your problems.
- God wants to experience real people in the world.
- Seasons are temporary; they are not permanent.
- Habakkuk 2:3
- If what you are praying for is coming slow, just be patient.
- It will come at an appointed time.
- There is a purpose for everything.
- Romans 5:3-4
- Problems and trials build our endurance, and our endurance develops strength and character.
- 2 Corinthians 12:9
- Even in your weakness, God is bigger than the situation.
- God shows up when we are at our last.
