📖Proverbs 10:29 (NIV)
"The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil."

📖Psalm 50:15 (NIV)
"And call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

📖Psalm 50:23 (NIV)
"Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation."

🗣️Exhortation
In life when challenges come, our first response should not be fear, anxiety, or trying to carry the burden alone. Instead, God calls us to trust in Him. In Psalm 50:15, He says, "Call on me in the day of trouble." This is an invitation from the Lord. Often people look for security in money, status, or other people. Yet God offers us something far better, direct access to Him. He promises to hear us, deliver us, and sustain us through the troubles of life because He is our refuge and strength.
We are privileged to serve a God who hears us, helps us, and walks with us through every season of our lives. God is faithfulness, so our position should be to honour Him with grateful hearts. Psalm 50:23 tells us that when we bring thank offerings and praise before the Lord, we honour Him and acknowledge His goodness in our lives. Whatever you may be facing today, remember that God has not abandoned you. Keep walking with Him, keep trusting Him, and keep calling on Him. He is faithful to sustain His people, and He remains our refuge in every circumstance. Let us continue to honour the King of Glory, who is mighty in battle and faithful in every season.

🙏🏾Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, we come before You to say that you are our one true Lord. Thank You for being our refuge and strength. Help us to trust You in every situation and to walk faithfully in Your ways. Remind us that we can always call on You, knowing that You hear us and care for us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

🎺*Exhortation*
I am encouraged by the response of King Josiah in 2 Kings 23. At the end of chapter 22 we see that he had been told that the disaster that would come on Judah would not come in his lifetime. If he wanted to be selfish he could’ve just left his nation in that messy state of idolatry, because it wouldn’t affect him. However, he decided to act to rectify things. He used his *authority* as King to begin bringing reform, destroying the evil altars that had been erected. You can almost say he was burdened to try and change Judah’s fate. If he was someone else, he could have just left it and said because the calamity wouldn’t touch him, fixing things was none of his business. Can we find such selflessness today? Today we live with philosophies like “as long as my family and I are good, then nothing else matters”. God desires us to model this behaviour of King Josiah. It is a similar behaviour that is expected of intercessors: with the understanding of your *authority* in Christ, plead and seek God for the protection and redemption of others. Heed the call to selflessness. Heed the call to intercession.

*Prayer*🙏🏽
Father God, I thank you that you loved us even before we loved you. Father forgive us for the times we’ve been selfish. You command us to carry each other’s burdens in Galatians 6. Help us to seek the protection and salvation of others and not just ourselves. Help us to intercede for each other. To lift each other up. Father we’re reminded of the faith of the 4 friends that brought their sick friend to Jesus in Luke 5. Help us to carry each other to God. When others need help, may I lift them to You. When I need help, may they lift me to You. In Jesus name, amen.

2 kings 22 v1-2 , 11-13
II Kings 22:1-2 NKJV
[1] Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath. [2] And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left,
[11] Now it happened, when the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, that he tore his clothes. [12] Then the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Achbor the son of Michaiah, Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king, saying, [13] “Go, inquire of the Lord for me, for the people and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found; for great is the wrath of the Lord that is aroused against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

II Thessalonians 2:1-3, 9-12 NKJV
[1] Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, [2] not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. [3] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
[9] The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, [10] and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, [12] that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Psalms 48:1-2, 12-14 NKJV
[1] Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. [2] Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King.
[12] Walk about Zion, And go all around her. Count her towers; [13] Mark well her bulwarks; Consider her palaces; That you may tell it to the generation following. [14] For this is God, Our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.

Proverbs 8:13, 17, 32-36 NKJV
[13] The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
[17] I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.
[32] “Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways. [33] Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. [34] Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. [35] For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord; [36] But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.”

SCRIPTURES

2 Kings 20:4-5

And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
[5]“Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.

2 Thessalonians 1:11

[11]Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power.

Psalms 47:7-8

[7]For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.
[8]God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne.

Proverbs 7:2-3

[2]Keep my commands and live, And my law as the apple of your eye.
[3]Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart.

EXHORTATION

In 2 Kings 20:5, God spoke to King Hezekiah and says, “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.” This verse reminds us that God is attentive to His children. He does not ignore our prayers, nor is He unmoved by our struggles. When we come before Him with sincerity, faith, and humility, He hears us. I love that He explicitly mentions Hezekiah’s tears. It tells us that our emotional honesty and pain are noticed by God. Our tears are not hidden from Him, and our cries do not fall on deaf ears. Even when situations seem impossible, God has the power to intervene, restore, and bring healing according to His will.
In 2 Thessalonians 1:11, Paul prays that God would make believers worthy of His calling and that He would fulfill every good purpose and work of faith through His power. This teaches us that the Christian life is not lived by human strength alone. God calls us for a purpose, and He also empowers us to fulfill that purpose. Every act of obedience, every step of faith, and every good work is accomplished through His grace and power working within us.

These verses encourage us to be people of prayer and faith. When we face challenges, we should bring them before God, knowing that He hears and cares for us. At the same time, we must trust Him to strengthen us for the calling He has placed on our lives. The God who hears our prayers is the same God who equips us to walk in His purpose.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for hearing our prayers and seeing our tears. Strengthen us to live according to Your calling and fulfill every good purpose You have for our lives. Empower our faith, guide our steps, and let Your will be done in all we do.
In Jesus name
Amen
