On Sunday morning, 30 August 2026, following the morning Divine Service, our ministers faithfully conducted the Sunday School lessons.

We thank God for our ministers who continue to dedicate themselves to nurturing faith and guiding the younger generation in the ways of the Lord. May the seeds of God’s Word planted in these hearts continue to grow and bear good fruit.

■ Fear is not a weakness but a fundamental human experience shared by all.
■ God does not respond to fear with demands but with concrete promises.
■ Divine service, prayer, and fellowship are channels through which we can experience God’s presence.
■ One day, all fear will disappear completely when Jesus Christ takes His bride to Himself.

Our Sunday service word and summary: Respecting and preserving life

■ The Fifth Commandment serves to protect human life.
■ Jesus Christ expands on the meaning of this commandment: violence already has its roots in anger and hatred, which are themselves violations of God’s will.
■ We are called upon to respect, protect, and promote life.
■ Even if we at times fail in our endeavour to follow God’s commandments, the following applies to the humble: His mercy is greater than our imperfection.

■ True faith relies on God’s power, not human strength.
■ Even weak faith can overcome the impossible through trust in God.
■ Even seemingly insignificant acts of faith can bring about change in suffering and in relationships.

On Saturday morning at 6am brother's gathered at Townsend Congregation with their packed bags ,excited for a most blessed weekend ahead.

Our Rector Priest Eschel Manuel prayed and off we went to Ashton, a small town in the Western Cape. Two hours later we arrived at our destination. The congregation brothers were eagerly awaiting our arrival. Upon arrival, we went our various ways to invite and share a word of encouragement to the members of the area.

Ashton congregation also celebrate their 50th anniversary of thier building. We later settled in at a backpackers lodge and enjoyed our fellowship together. The next day, we prepared ourselves to gather at church with the congregation for a festive divine service with our Apostle Gavin Van Der Hoven.

We also joined the congregation choir .After the divine service, we presented a musical presentation as a male choir. After some fellowship with the congregation, we then proceeded homeward. What a blessed and fulfilling weekend we could experience.🙏
