You are not defined by people, you are defined by your Creator. As you begin to see yourself the way God sees you, your damaged self image will heal. How do you see yourself?

I break loose from the spirit of backwardness. Every curse of backwardness sent to me is reversed, in the powerful Name of JESUS. Today, the power of the HIGHEST shall overshadow my life.
By the power of the God, I retrench and frustrate every satanic priest ministering enchantments and incantations into the wind against my life, I nullify their enchantments and command their incantations null and void!

You may face uncomfortable situations in life. Much of life is a test, you don’t really know what’s in you until you’re put under pressure. God will test your quality throughout life, as He gives you opportunities to grow. Quit letting other people control your mood and joy. Start passing the test, next time someone is rude to you just smile and go about your day. You’re not who they say you are; you’re who God says you are. Make up your mind that you’re not going to let the same things upset you.

Goliath was twice David’s size. He was the champion of the Philistine army, their most feared soldier. David was young and small, with no military training, no armor. How could he have the courage to face Goliath? What gave him the passion, the fire to even think he had a chance? When you come into these sovereign moments, it’s not just you; it’s the Most High God backing you up. It’s the One who’s with you. There will be faith that you’ve never had, courage, boldness, favor that will catapult you ahead.

God’s looking for some Shadrachs, Meshachs, and Abednegos. Teenagers who wouldn’t bow down to the king’s golden idol. They refused to compromise and fit into a culture that didn’t honor God. They could have conformed, played it safe, done what everyone else was doing. After all, this was dangerous. Their lives were on the line. But they said to the king, “Even if you throw us into the fiery furnace, we’re still not going to bow down.” They threw these teenagers into the fire, thinking they were done with them, but God has the final say. When you refuse to compromise, you stay on the high road, honor God with your life, you may get thrown into the fire. The good news is God comes into the fire with you. He doesn’t always deliver you from the fire. Sometimes, He’ll make you fireproof and bring you through the fire.

The Scripture says, “The people who know their God will be strong and do mighty exploits.” That’s God’s dream for you. Not an average life, but mighty exploits, awe-inspiring deeds. No more living intimidated, “I can’t do it; it’s too big.” No, when you know who you are, you won’t run from the giant, you’ll run to the giant. God didn’t say you’ll do exploits; He said mighty exploits. That means it’s going to be bigger than you can accomplish on your own. You can’t do this just in your power, your ability. But God Himself has anointed you. The Most High God is backing you up.
