Today, we pause in solemn remembrance and prayer, honoring the 2,977 innocent lives lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, as well as the brave first responders who answered the call with extraordinary courage.
⁣
🙏 A Prayer of Remembrance and Peace
⁣
God of mercy and strength,
we remember the sorrow of September 11 and hold in prayer all those whose lives were lost.
⁣
Comfort the families who continue to grieve, and bring healing and strength to the survivors and first responders who still carry the physical and emotional wounds of that day.
⁣
Help us never to forget the courage of those who ran toward danger to help others. Inspire us to live with greater compassion, unity, kindness, and resilience.
⁣
May love overcome hatred and division, and may our hearts remain steadfast in the pursuit of peace.
⁣
Amen.
⁣

Yesterday, our Coordinator of Religious Education, Leanna Pipala, attended the Diocesan Annual Day of Prayer and Preparation, joining parish ministers from throughout the Diocese for a day of faith, fellowship, education, and prayer. 🙏

A special thank you to our Diocesan Office of Faith Formation for providing such a wonderful opportunity for our parish ministers to come together, grow in their ministries, and prepare for the year ahead.

We are grateful for all those throughout our Diocese who dedicate their time and talents to sharing and nurturing our Catholic faith!
